I watched some youtube videos about the day of the shooting and when they were walking into the school one of the people they knew (they weren't really friends) was walking out. He said they called each other some names (I think jokingly) and one of the shooters waited a seconds and told the guy to go home. Lucky dude lol

It really is the goat feel when driving to work and the daily lunatic fires a bullet at you and it misses your head and even your windows because they're rolled down. I've only had to replace two tires this year due to bullets.

As morbid as the topics of school shootings goes, it's really crazy how truly terrifying a situation like that is. Not just for the students involved but the overall confusion and panic of a shooter situation like that in general is especially for LEO's and first responders.
Sure you go through mountains of training and you can be as confident as possible, thinking if something like that happened that you'll be prepared. But all of that training would never truly prepare you to go into a scenario like that ready to shoot and kill a kid.

Out of all of the documentaries and movies about school shootings, I think the Canadian cop drama 19-2 did the best job of portraying how horrific a situation like that is. Worst case scenario.

The whole thing with her is blown out of proportion. She was very outspoken about being a christian, and I think the shooters acknowledged her with "you're that christian girl" then shot her. That goes a long with what eyewitness reports were. Her aunt and uncle are a christian band and I think used what happened as promotion for themselves. She did write some poems/journal entries that seemed like she knew she was dying soon, but nothing prophetic

I was a Freshman in HS when this happened. I remember I was in study hall and the dean came on the loudspeaker to inform us what happened and turned on the TVs, chit was crazy.

The year after that we had drills every year on what to do if there was a school shooter.

It's especially difficult in a high school setting like Columbine. Shooters could easily just pose as afraid high school kids and shoot the LEO's in the back. Almost have to treat everyone as a suspect.

It doesn't help that the media gets involved instantly and fuks chit up even more...

Now that I think about it, I was a Senior in 1998 and this same thing happened after 99. We used to be able to leave school and go across the street to McDonalds/Pizza Hut/Burger King for lunch and just dik around all over unless we had class.
