I live in an apartment complex and there is only 3 washers and dryers for 11 stories of savages. So every Thursday I wake up really early and go to the laundry floor and put a fake "out of order" sign on a washer. I do this so I can go back and sleep for a few more hours and don't have to deal with laundry really early in the morning.
Well a fellow resident busted me today as I put the sign on. It was this old man with nothing better to do. Said he recognized the pattern of the sign and it being the same color and handwriting every time. So now he is going report me to management.
What is the worst thing that will happen to me?

brb in college I would remove old wet clothes from the washer when people left them unattended for hours at a time. I started to hang their wet underwear/bras in the laundry room area to make room for my laundry.

You done goofed running into a retired forensics handwriting expert.
He will be the special witness in the stand against you in court.
Why did you put it out of service so you can go back to sleep and not deal with it that morning? What's the point in waking up early to put a sign up then crawling back to bed?*MFC*

Maybe you should get a luxury apartment with W/D in the unit. Mine has it, if it didn't, I wouldn't do it. Laundry rooms in apartment feel so peasanty.
Done that before at some crap apartment complex in LA, it really sucks. Worse they make you pay to use it, and make you buy the cards, reload cards. At that point, I'd rather pay more to live in a nicer apartment with W/D in unit.
