Smile Which of these two gyms should I join?

Hey, just today I started TheViking's barebones routine, and I love it. I'm debating between two gyms and would like some opinions regarding the matter. I need to make a decision tomorrow.

    1) LA Fitness
    Pros:
--***Closer, approx 7 min drive w/out traffic. Have not tested with traffic.
    --Cleaner, more organized
--Nice, spacious locker room with cleaner sauna and bathrooms

    Cons:
--More pricey (they're giving me $60 down and $40/mo for single use gym, which is all I need)
--Plates are hex-shaped so it's difficult to do deadlifts. Difficult, but not impossible. Viking's program has me deadlifting twice a week.
--Chalk allowed but I assume they'll be more strict than Pro-Fit regarding cleanliness and regarding "dropping" weights. I don't drop but when deadlifts get heavy they do slam a bit.
-No wide space to do deadlifts, so will likely need to do them in front of the squat rack, which can be an annoyance to someone who wants to squat.

    2) Pro-Fit
    Pros:
    --Cheaper ($25 down, $30/month)
--More powerlifting friendly. They have a monolift (I won't use) and a deadlifting platform (I will use).
    --Circular plates
    Cons:
--Dirty gym. Bathrooms are kinda gross and always one stall is out of order.
--Machines all packed together so it's a bit congested.
--Further. About a 10 min drive, but in traffic it can take up to 20-25 min because it's by a train station which causes major delays. Gotta cross the railroad tracks. It is very irritating and can make me want to not want to go to the gym.

    Thank you!

you need BB.com to help you with your life decisions? Just choose one that is most suitable to your life circumstances/situation and what you value the most (do you value a cleaner gym?) You can still deadlift with hex shaped plates.

I've always been terrible at making decisions like these. So I just wanted some opinions. Thanks though.

I'd go w/ the powerlifting gym and if the bathroom's that gross, hold it until I get home.

    Hex plates are just wrong.
    You can't help the hopeless.

Do they offer a 30day trial?
    I know my gym does.

Why not try each one for 30 days and then commit to the one that makes more sense?

Unfortunately they don't. LA only gave me 2 days otherwise I'll lose the "discounted" price they gave me. As for Pro-Fit, they only offer 1 week trials, which I've done. It was decent, just a bit more unorganized than LA but still pretty decent.
