just going off my experience in Liverpool. There hasn't been a single cab driver where i've understood even 70% of what they said. I just laugh and smile. I understood more french in paris than i do my native language in liverpool.





also i'm dead srs confused how anyone can dislike london. visiting sucks, yes i will admit. but living there is the most fun i've had at any age, anywhere in the world. you get one circle of friends and it's non-stop fun sunday to saturday.

thought i was done with this thread BUT if i may interject. I was at some peri chicken place in wavertree/liverpool a few days ago. cash register were little british girls, but the 5 or 6 people in the back were clearly followers of the culture of peace and prosperity. they became visibly rustled when they heard me speak. this wasn't just me looking for this conflict or making it up in my head either. I tried to say hello to one that was walking out to go deliver food but he just blew by me, and the guys in the back kept lowkey mean-mugging me while i ate.

How strong is your American Accent? It's probably because of that. Americans aren't really well liked in a lot of places. I've seen dudes just straight up try and fight other guys because they were American.

Not true about the french. There's a town in france that is obsessed with Australia. It's usually one of the things on most bucketlists for Australians to visit. I can't remember the name, but there is a shrine dedicated to Australia and they play the Australian Anthem and observe a minute of silence for Australia at 7am and 7pm every single day.

Supposedly everything is free and catered to you if you're an Australian and go there.
