I started today and will run it for 10-12 days. I did it last year without any issues so we'll see how it goes.

I **** about 1 time a week, while taking a fiber supp and staying hydrated. It makes sense that you're going to utilize the vast majority of what you eat at 1000 or fewer calories. TBH it's probably worse to eat 2000 calories and do 1000 calories worth of cardio than to just eat 1000 total cals. I've maintained my strength somewhat and don't look any smaller. Definitely flatten out hardcore about 4 days in. No bloat, dry, piss about 10 times a day without drinking a gallon of water.

I **** once a day, normally after dinner. I've had some gross ones the day after a refeed or my cheat meal though.
The book specifically says NOT to do this and your experience is exactly why it mentions this. 2-3 times a week with medium to low volume is what's recommended. Your body simply doesn't have the energy to keep up.
A refeed introduces extra carbs back into your body to helps with energy (glycogen) depletion. I'm under the assumption you eat a ton of carbs not just daily amount in that five hour period.
Why not do IF and eat either later in the day or leave enough on the table so you can have a decent meal before bed?

Did PSMF last week, blew it a little bit this weekend (wine tour) and I'm rolling along with PSMF again this week. Down from 181.5 to 177 lbs., no rebound yet from the weekend.
Here are some links that may help, I read a BUNCH on these sites and sometimes the questions on the forums help clarify any confusion you (or I) may have.
http://www.psmfdiet.com - pretty sure this is part of Lyle's network, but has a good clear layout
https://forums.lylemcdonald.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7 - the forum for Lyle's RFL (PSMF) book
https://www.reddit.com/r/PSMF/ - I know, hold your neg cannons though, because this sub actually has some great questions & answers
Going to try to get through this week and do a refeed Friday or Saturday, from what I can tell I'll get about 300 g / Carbs to play with so that should be fun. Oven-baked sweet potato slices FTW!Hebrews 12: 1,2

Is it true it gets much easier after 3 days or so? I tried this a few years ago and all I can remember is feeling absolutely fukin terrible, I think I got through a week then had a refeed where I just lost my mind and binged out lol. Also what kind of numbers for deficit are we looking at with this? If it's just 1000 then it just doesn't seem worth it since you can just do some cardio and eat less for that while actually living and eating like a normal human being, but if it's 3-4 lbs fat loss per week then I might give it a try again.

In!
Day 1, 188, cat 2!
It's got me at 1k calories, 187gs of protein.
I already got vitamins D,E,K2 and a ZMA sup. So I will go to the store today and get a B complex and a potassium sup. It suggests an extra calcium, but I'm already exceeding the RDI cause casein is loaded with it.
On top of this, I'm taking a forskolin product, ArA, new norco and yohimbe HCL.
Motivation is high.

I think Lyle Mcdonald mentions this in his book and doesn't recommend it. Reason being is that you're basically not going to have adequate energy to fuel yourself during long durations of exercise, plus the fact that you'll just be causing more damage to the muscles and it will be harder to repair with such low calories.
This is why he recommends lifting only 2-3 days a week on the diet with the only cardio being walking

Well eating this amount of food in that time frame is going to boast a much more thermogenic effect from food than smaller meals. He would gain more fat eating that same amount of calories over maintenance, ina span of a couple of days.
But essentially the refers is supposed to be 5-6 grams of carbs per bodyweight. For me at 188 that's a max of 1128 grams. My protein is 188 to, and with a max of 50grams of fat on those refeeds, that's only 5714 calories. So he essentially is refeeding wrong, and going overboard.
