Titan issues

So after getting a replacement rack shipped out from Titan, I received a banged up box again and pull out the first upright to find the same defects as the first one. Pretty disappointed and frustrated at this point.

Anyone who owns a T3 titan rack, do you guys have stuff like this on the uprights?

I firmly believe a lot of guys here are really picky about conditions of stuff (considering the complications of shipping these types of things) but that is just insane and for you to pull TWO different cracked uprights.

Honestly - if I had one of their racks already and saw that I would be very nervous about it.

Both times 3 out of 4 uprights have the defects on them.

I firmly believe a lot of guys here are really picky about conditions of stuff (considering the complications of shipping these types of things) but that is just insane and for you to pull TWO different cracked uprights.

Honestly - if I had one of their racks already and saw that I would be very nervous about it.

I agree, I don't see how you could have any confidence in them when they let stuff like that out the door.

This goes way beyond typical mistakes or defects.

You know what - I do say lucky YOU. I'd get a return label for that and tell them to refund your money cause even if the third was perfect - I don't want something where the steel was cracked like that. Once would be enough for me to feel sketchy, twice...done, I'm out.

I don't know if anyone has ordered one of these yet, and it hasn't gotten a lot of pub with the Titans coming on the scene but I've seen it in the store and if I was in the market for a rack I would give the CFF consideration - $675 shipped seems decent to me.

Man that sucks. I'd be doing the same as the others, returning it and telling them to refund the money. I'd also have them send the shipper, scheduled the pick up, etc.

Looks to me like something really heavy was set on the uprights during shipping.

Oh man....now I'm worried. I have a T6 due here tomorrow, you can BET I'll be looking closely when it gets here. Scuff marks and scratches, I don't really care too much. CRACKED UPRIGHTS...yeah that's a deal breaker.

it is. If it was broken during shipping wouldn't the powder coat be chipped or cracked too? The powder coat is not, which makes me think it was cracked before the paint job?

Perhaps, if it's the cheapest Chinese steel you can find...which honestly may be the case.

That really sucks to get 2 bad racks in a row. I hope you get it worked out. I'd be calling and speaking to someone to ensure that the next 4 legs are pristine before they leave the facility, or that my purchase price is credited back to my card immediately. That's really a shame.

The original box was destroyed beyond use so I was gonna use the box from the replacement rack to ship it back.

Does anyone see any issue with Titan overlooking such a minuscule annoyance? Looks fine to me 🙄

Even a legally blind QC person could have felt the crack I'm sure!

If no QC then Titan has employees that have no integrity or just don't give a rats arse about others safety.
