    Fat Grip training

    Hello all,

Can anyone offer advice on how to integrate fat groups into a powerlifting routine? Just a few exercises that are helpful.

My goal is to increase deadlift grip strength.
    Gym (170-180 lbs): 465 Squat, 300 Bench, 495 DL
    Meet (165 lbs): 430 Squat, 280 Bench, 445 DL

Double overhand deadlifts with Fat Grips would probably be the most ideal way. If they're the kind that fit over dumbbells too, put them on dumbbells for farmer's walks.

Cool. How would you work that into a routine? Finish your regular dead sets then switch to fat grip for a 3x10?

That sounds like a good plan, especially as you're keeping the reps high. If deadlifts like that are too tough, you could work shrugs instead. Maybe even just throw some weight on to make it heavy and hold for as long as you can for a few sets.

It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

I would use them on your accessories...rows? can use the grips, pulldowns? can use the grips, curls? can use the grips, farmer's walk? can use the grips, etc. etc.

I'd avoid adding extra deadlift sets simply to use them and just add them in to what you normally do
