Hi Everyone, been off the forum for a few years, last year I started lifting again, but it only lasted about 3 months and I got what was finally diagnosed as Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. This pain was awful and no pain killers would touch it. Basically it caused pain from the neck, shoulder blade, arm pit, and down the arm. The nerves were pinching between the upper rib and collar bone.
It took 6 months of PT before the pain went away, still get the occasional numbness. I am unable to use a underhand grip on that side, and heavy shrugs and rows I can;t do any longer, hoping it is possible in the future as I miss the shrugs.
So looking for any information / experience anyone else might have. I was told it is somewhat common in lifters.

My journal, not detailed, but heck I never keep track of much anyhow. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121196291&p=863931421#post863931421
