Its gone from 3k to over 10k in a month, not the regular ups and downs we're used to seeing, that's what I meant, been playing BTC for years now already cashed out 3/4 of my chit long time ago

Yeah we'll get one of those regular ups and downs at some point here, but idk why you think that matters overall. Was just a matter of time before it pumped again, the bear doesn't last indefinitely.

New cycle brah, don't fall for the "this is a sucker's rally" psychological trap, though if you sold 3/4 and haven't bought it back at all it sounds like you fell for something cause, daymn. This ride would hurt to miss.

What do you use to trade crypto?

Bitmex, have to have a VPN on anytime you log in as a 'murican and sign up from another country like switzerland or something

Anybody investing in REITS in their IRA? Seems like a no brainer since they payout 90% of income as dividends. Combine that with putting it in a tax advantage account and you're good. Anybody with investing experience have thoughts on this?

I didn't trust the rally to 1442.9 in gold. I think we still see it give back most of the gains it's made, but the fact that it crossed above 1365 is an indication that the bull market is right around the corner. But first, we will see the bulls get trapped and I'll buy at a retest of the lows.

Sounds like the China situation might be getting fixed sooner than later. That may be nice for trading currently it seems that markets are ready to turn over- profits everywhere are shrinking and the only big upward moves are new companies coming to market. I've sidelined a fair amount of capital.

For older brahs who have been investing 10-20+ years does significantly higher interest rates hinder house value growth? Seems to me housing values might be getting overinflated due to such low interest rates. I was really considering joining a small group on a venture to buy a 4-plex, but everything seems to be valued with a premium. I don't really want to pay the premium for property now if I could buy @70% current rates in a few years.

Also, what are you fellas doing with your emergency funds? I'm trying at a minimum to find an online bank paying 2% interest on a savings account otherwise I might find try to get a CD with a decent return? Not anticipating needing the money any time soon and the 0.01% I'm currently getting sucks.

It would be awesome to buy @ 70% rates lol they're already so low....Honestly I'm not sure about the real estate market as far as your question goes. But I do know that real estate is more secure and will grow faster than most stocks, generally speaking, especially in the highly sought after areas like Cali. Don't really think you could go wrong with real estate investing unless you're buying a house with problems, but that's why you always check everytthing first.

I had my money in a savings account that gained about 2%, was very boring but also no anxiety so a nice trade off. But we're too young for that stuff lol, maybe keep some in there but I'd still be looking to grow my money more through real estate like both of us have been talking about and I believe you're already doing. We don't have any time decay so we can take bigger risks.

Personally I'm cashing out now and putting all my chit into a brand new house

I dropped 15k in them (like 95% in S&P 500, 5% in TSLA and SFTBY currently) months ago right around the current AH price though....so now about even. Lol. Wasn't a huge amount of $ but i'm a firm believer in TSLA and it's 100% a long term hold, but anyway feels good to be back i guess ha.

Finally went green on T again! Its been a full year of waiting lol but I have gotten 52.5 shares for free now through reinvesting the divy, if this chit gets closer to $40 a share I'ma start averaging out

@Sword - Its 52 week range is 26.8 - 34 so it does look like the stock is finally breaking out, I'm sure it'll go back down a lil though before it starts making its way to $40 later on this year??? (hopefully)(this is the market who the fuk knows really). My friend got in on it last December when it was around $27 on the big dip. Makes me a little weary of suggesting to get in on it now since its so much higher, I tend to stay away from situations like this even though it does look like it passed the resistance point and starting to rally. Usually my plays are the ones that involve a big drop, then I start to slowly buy 25% at a time with limit orders.

Examples since the beginning of the year are: PCG dropping to $5 now back above $20 and CVX dropped to $104 now back to $123+ ...All of those possible plays went back up from the bottom in about a week too....lol

And this is why you always wanna keep 20% cash on hand because the above plays were way way too easy to play and I was so mad I had 100% of my chit invested at the time
