Nope I want to build something that can help people , that will increase my family status and wealth. I want wealth, could care less about having a wife and kids. They would only drain my finances. Like my grandmother and my aunt I want the power to do good and to get that power you need wealth. I'm very logical, and if you look at how much it cost to raise a kid from birth to 18, and you rmaking less than 100k a year you a retard. You will suffer and your life will be sht, your kid will grow up poor and live a life worse than you have lived, then when your 70 yr's old looking back at your old thread about having families you will see your son on the misc crying about no gf and and *******, websites, etc instead of improving his life and gaining wealth.

opposite here OP. wanted to get married in my 20s. still didn't want kids but I've woken up to the truth of what a **** deal marriage is and I'm 100% against it now. even more against kids than before.

Then that statement by your dad is a very bad influence on your life which you will regret later. Shame on him for taking his failure and using it as advice to you.

If you live your life by that advice then you will die a lonely, depressed, forgotten old man. At least your dad has a son ... which is something you will never have if you live by his advice.

It isn't just him, though. It's literally 90% of the people I meet and interact with daily. Many of my friends are divorced, many of the people I speak to randomly are divorced, it's just too loud to ignore. 90% of married men I speak to tell me that if they could go back, they would not do it again. That's crazy to me, and makes the whole venture very scary.

Now, I will admit that my dad is not too bright or someone who I can see a woman wanting to be with long-term, however I don't think it's bad advice at all. I love selfishly using my time for myself exclusively and having nobody to answer to, and I can't see that changing. Plus I have a sister who has family aspirations, so that helps a lot.

It's just too much to gamble on.
