Anyone else here strongly considering not having children?
My wife and I will be married 5 years in July. I'm 30 and she's 29. Neither of us ever truly wanted them, and as the years go by we are getting closer to officially making the decision to get my nuts clipped. Not 100% yet. Still thinking we'll give it a few years before we make it official.
The truth is we love our life. We love being free to do whatever we want and the thought of being tied down by a child at this moment doesn't outweigh the benefits of having a Kid. We still have so much we want to accomplish and things we want to experience.
I'm not saying people with children aren't happy or don't get to enjoy their life. That's just crazy. What I am saying is that for what we want out of life, children just get in the way of that for us.
I know what society says about how people should live and the natural life cycle but frankly, we don't care. As selfish as this sounds we just want to make ourselves happy, not our parents or siblings.
Another part is I'm kind of scared to be a father. I know I'd do my best to be a great father but having a child that turns out to be a scumbag would suck. Or a Whore for a daughter.
Sure we'll miss out on some cool things in life, taking kids trick or treating, reading books to them, watching them play sports, but for us, those things don't overcome the joy we get from being free from that massive responsibility.
Any other young married couples out there on the same page as us??

I'm 34. Wife is 33. Been together for almost 11 years now
We have no plans to have children but we agreed that we would not turn away from it if she got pregnant
I love spoiling my nephews and my cousin's kids but that's enough for me. We're flying 2 of our nephews down and taking them to Universal for spring break in a few weeks. I think I'm more excited than they areTraining log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165829701

Single and no kids crew checking in
Disposable income, free time, great social life. Don't need kids to "complete life".
I understand everyone is wired differently and some of those NEED to have children to feel complete. I just don't see it in my future. I'm perfectly content with how things are.US Navy Corpsman '09-'19 "Motrin, water, take a knee"

Have 2 boys under 3 and my wife wants another one. Shiits brutal. Daycare cost like 500 bucks a week. Totally understand people not wanting kids and mine are aesthetics as fuk. You've willingly brought something into existence you'd gladly kill and die for. Its a trip though.

Careful opie. Theres a lot of retards on the misc that think not having kids makes you a failure as a human being. Srs.
I was in another thread simply arguing that "Children/marriage works for some people, but doesn't necessarily have to work for EVERYONE. Different strokes for different folks." And had a metric **** ton of users trying to call me out/retarded.
Doesn't make sense to me at all. Want kids? Great bro, go for it. Dont want kids? Doesn't affect me at all.
These morons literally equate success by the amount kids you have instead of personal accomplishments. I even listed some of the most brilliant people in the past who didn't have a wife/kids, and they just ignored the point completely.
