    Testosterone Booster

    Hello friends!
    I am looking for a testosterone booster that is not a steroid. I am turning 45 this year and feel like it is time for me to jump on one. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

    At your age I would advise you to go and seek a consultant or a doctor. If you think your testosterone levels are dropping, then maybe it's time for TRT.

    As many have stated YES they wont do much in the way of raising Test levels in people with already healthy levels.
    They can however help people with declining levels due to age. I have used a few that have helped, i had to have my levels checked on a regular basis due to a health scare and asked the Doctor if ok to use natural T/Boosters. It wouldnt harm, so the few i used did actually help increase my levels, not hugely BUT it improved.

    Our very own APE is more of an overall performance enhancer as well as helps to keep a healthy Testosterone to Estrogen ratio and contains ingredients to support this.

    Look for products that contain ingredients that will help with energy, mood, libido and aid in an increase in workout performance as well as recovery.

    Alongside this at the age you are ensure that your nutrition is good and look at including foods that can help with Testosterone levels in the body.

    I feel bad for guys that think something aside from test or other hormones which are not available OTC will effect you more than the placebo.. Shame guys. Shame. Seriously protein, okay. Stimulants, sure. Questionably modified hormones, I'm okay with that too. But slinging snake oil.. Shame

    I"m working on this (but not too hard)
    there are some articles on-line
    one guy actually tried like ever thing on the list, and claimed it raised considerably
    My impression is: (and I do NOT have the data or articles to back this up - but it's based on some light reading + common sense + scientific theories from actual doctors etc out there):

    - Red meat
    - Working out so your muscles grow (i.e. closer to failure, tons of reps don't cut it). Supposedly, testosterone or whatnot increases after a workout commensurate with the amount of growth needed, or maybe a bit more. So I think you get a temporary boost, but there may be some spill-over to sexuality, not just muscle growth
    - Vitamin D, I think? Supposedly being in the sun is the best D, your body makes it in response to sunlight hitting the skin. but you can also take pills. I forget whether the D helps the body make the test, or does it help the test work? whatever, we're designed for it (if your dermatologist agrees - he/she may not for you of course! skin cancer, beware.)
    - Supposedly sex helps, but not masturbation. Some. I actually theorize (I don't remember if I read this..) that *pursuit* of females helps test. Certainly that would make sense, biologically...if you're trying, your body may respond by upping test. I certainly get hornier around females vs not, depending, of course, on many factors, but if you're not in a relationship, get out there. If you are, re-kindle romance and pursuit, go for stuff that turns her on - be successful, do new things with her, pursue her with flowers or whatever YOU want to do to increase her interest, flirt with her, even if you are in a committed relationshjip, etc.
    - Get an appropriate amount of sleep.
    - Decrease stress. which makes a lot of sense. WHy would your body be prepping for mating/mating calls if it's stressed? That's a BAD time to choose a mate / etc. I say confidence can only help, see what makes you tick in that area. Goal-oriented and also skills-based / success-based confidence is good for you, and there's no way that would suppress test. Stress, on the other hand... I can see why that's a known test suppressant.
    - IIRC, stimulants suppress test. i.e. cafeine.

    I forget the rest of the list. That's the main stuff.

    Each of these is suppposed to help SOME. So, hit them all and see what happens. it's a simple test, do them all for three months and get your test tested, please report back.

    Oh, I almost forgot. Rawer / rarer red meat.
    I've noticed that the rarer my meat, the higher my energy level. So this one wouldn't surprise me.
    My source? Well, besides that, I once saw a show on food network in which the host visited a farm in another country, and they actually slaughtered a cow and then cooked it, etc.
    However, after the slaughter, they had a tradition of drinking the blood. The host was kinda squeamish about it, not all the farmers had much, there was some WHO hoooWW ing, etc. but anyway, this one older guy, must've been like 60 or 70 years old(?) always drank the most, quit a lot, they said, and the dudes told the host that afterwards, he always went home and banged the hell out of his wife. They all believed it was related to the blood.

    Is that a large sample size?
    No.

    But it's enough for me to consider having my steak medium rare, as I did for part of my steak tonight.

    Maybe it helps release the test, maybe it helps in test production, who knows/!
    Either, way, I"m down for it.

    Oh, yeah, one more thing.
    Have you ever tried ginseng? (i.e. good ginseng, not some watered down drink or whatnot)
    I.e. especially fresh, or good extracts, like the little glass vials of panax ginseng
    those always increase my libido and...girth.
    Maybe it's test related.

    Also, what NOT to do
    Steroids, of course.

    Nor, too many oysters.
    Honestly, i'm concerned it might DECREASE test production, in the long run?
    WHy? welll....
    I've heard that taking test replacement therapy shuts down test production permanently.
    I certainly know (*was told by my doctor) that taking thyroid will pernanently shut down the thyroid gland.

    So....I'm wary of daily oysters, unless you plan on eating them the rest of your life, or are comfortable with this conjecture-based risk. (*I'm not !)

    I guess I'm wary of taking test itself until I vet that thoroughly.

    'til then....I'm working on some of the ideas above.

    Anyone else trying these ideas ?

    testosterone boosters do work, they just don't work as effectively as prescription testosterone. I've tested DIM effectiveness for estrogen control and it does work well. How do I know, I went and actually tested my estradiol levels by getting blood work done. Just because something is herbal doesn't mean it won't have any effects.

    I lean towards what your saying....test boosters are not steriods and will not have steroid like effects.
