I have a 2006 Sport Edition, I bought pretty close to new like 12k on it. It had Xreas suspension and one leaked. I put AC Delco FJ Crusier springs on it front and rear (they are slightly stiffer and taller than 4Runner springs but fit perfectly) and Billstein 5100s front and back fronts are are set at .85 lowest lift setting. This gave me about 2.5" of lift in the front and about 1.5" in the back so now I sit pretty close to level front to back 3/4" of forward rake. I put on 265/70R17 BFG KO2s which are 10 ply sidewalls and aggressive but wear well and are not noisy. I replaced both front CV axels at the same time because I had a cracked boot. Truck has been flawless since new. Break pads, tires and routine maintenance is the only thing it's really needed. I'll keep it until it's done and get another one if they are still making them by then. Really like the current gen especially that TRD Premium Trail Edition. Guessing I'll get another decade out of my 06 though. Still looks pretty new.

Pretty much for be anything you need to know about them can be found on 4Runner.org forums. Lift and heavy tires knocked my mileage down a bit, but I have plenty of ground clearance and like it leveled out.

Just got an 06 Limited, trying to decide on tires. Not going to lift it yet, if ever.
Have you used the KO2's in snow?

Just put them on two weeks ago, had a dusting and it seemed good, reviews are great in all conditions. They are winter rated, but heavy AF dropped about 2 mpg. I had Michelin LTX 265/70 R17 for about 75K they held up great for a radial and I never got stuck even in some pretty nasty fields. I'm not sure what sizes you can run on a Limited, I think they have 18" wheels. Check Craigslist, I have seen a few brand new sets of Rims and Tires that people take off as soon as they buy a new 4Runner and put on a lift, tires and rims. A lot of people like Nitto Terra Grapplers for stock height. the KO2s would have likely rubbed without a slight lift even though the Michelins were the same size. I think the KO2s are 31.8" tall in that size and weigh 63 lbs vs about 38lbs for the stock 265/65 size Dunlop grand-treks (junk those wore out in 30k)
