Not the oldest pieces you have as I know some vintage plates pre date many of us.
Im wondering what piece you have owned the longest.
For me it is 2. my 1st bench I bought from a closing gym no Idea brand and my 1st Olympic weight set (Jack Lalanne) both bought in 1988 with my paper route money at 12 yrs old.
I will never get rid of my weight set. The bench I am strongly debating at the moment as I am not as attached to it.
What is your longest owned piece.

Some locking collars, dumbbell handles, and weight plates; owned them just over 10 years now.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

The remaining equipmet I bought from NYB in the 1990s... Still have a 3x3 flat bench and hand grip machine left... sold or gave away all the other NYB 💩 in 2016. Super leg press; Seated back row; Mega bench with spotter arms , dips, leg curl and lat tower; Mega dip stand; Shrug cage; GHR reverse hyper combo; 2x2 power rack; Standing preacher curl;
Oldest nice equipment I have is from Elite FTS barbell hooks to train negatives on squat and bench... EFTS chains and a 0-90 deluxe ladder style FI bench 😎

In 1992, I bought a power rack with an integral lat machine, 3 in 1 bench, decline, preacher, hyper, and Olympic bar/weights. I still have the preacher bench, hyper, and bar and Olympic plates, the others were either sold, given away or stored somewhere I can no longer remember. The bar and plates are still in use, but the hyper and preacher are in storage.

I have some of the original no-name olympic plates I originally started with. I believe I bought those in 2000.
My longest own major purchase is my ivanko CBPP-184kg set (including my OBX-20kg bar), along with a pair of 50kg CBPP plates back in 2001.Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

Rogue marked Abmat and the first York Barbell Oly set.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Not counting cycling stuff (I have a computrainer and rollers from the 90s that my wife still uses), I think my revolvers have been around the longest. Everything else has been sold and upgraded.

probably a tie between the everlast technique ball and ufc boxing bag, not sure which came first. that was 7 years ago. after that my ironmaster dumbbell stand and seat i kept from an ironmaster bench (works great as a headrest when using my vertical leg press) and ironmaster dumbbell plates. i don't own the original ironmaster dumbbell handles from 7 years ago because i found some better gripper handles with better knurling so i swapped those out last year. way too many things i've gone through lol. hard to be totally sure . i think i still own a blow up workout ball from college so that may be the longest thing lol. i don't use it anymore tho.

Very thought provoking question! So much has changed the oldest thing in my gym is my Inzer belt, and that's probably only 5-6 years old LOL. But I can tell you if this question is asked again in 30 years it will be my Pendlay rack. When she is old and beat to HELL, I'll pay to have her restored to original and passed down to my son/daughter.

Still have my standard set from 25-30 years ago. Still use it on occasion for dumbbell work. Still have my original bench from then and both my punching bags. Seems I don't throw much out!

Ivanko iron plates and bar from 2001-2002 timeframe. Bought new with my first rack and bench. Don't use them any more, but too pretty to sell. Everything else has been upgraded over time.
Powerblocks are next oldest - bought those a few months after the initial purchase and use them virtually every workout.[]---[] Equipment Crew #73 []---[]

Yeah, kinda crazy to think about.. I've often used something for a few months/years and sold to upgrade. I think I'm mostly past that stage now as my gym has evolved nicely. Anyway, my Rogue HG Collars and my wife's Rogue 10kg bar are the oldest items left.. probably about 5 years old. Man, I've sold SO much stuff on Craigslist. Lol.

I'm not too relevant here as I've only had a home gym two years and typically I've bought "keeper" pieces purposely as I've been lifting for 20+. Only things I've gotten rid of was my Rogue RH 2.0 but that was to upgrade for a Mech6 tilt top reverse hyper.
I am swapping the frame for my FatPad bench and will have a spare Monster flat bench (need to order regular pad) but will likely keep in storage until I determine size of my new gym when I move. I'll either sell, keep, upgrade, tweak depending on my setup.
Oldest items sitting around though...
1) Check this out...I have my original chalk Tupperware container I grabbed from my mom's kitchen. It has never been cleaned out so this is a multi-decade repository for me with at least a few molecules from the early 1990s in there as well as every single time I bought more chalk. Hell Yes. Never getting rid of it. Never cleaning beyond wiping down the outside.
2) I have a set of Doo Win lifting shoes (2004ish?) which I believe are the original generation that Pendlay imported back in the day to save the WFAC lifters money vs. Adidas (Nike didn't have shoes then). These had high heals that I had ground down twice. I just finally bit the bullet and replaced with Adipowers on the $99 Black Friday sale. In short...this was another buy once cry once lesson. Should have bought the Adistars and saved myself misery - wish I'd have saved the ancient Adidas (solid wood heal and all leather) they replaced.
3) Inzer Lever Belt 13mm in Blue Suede (no matching shoes) from early 2000s
4) Crap dip belt I bought around 2007 after they kept stealing the belts from our gym so I had to bring my own. Still sitting around but replaced happily with a Rogue/Spud model.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

That would be my PowerTec FID and Hampton deep dish oly set and bar I bought in 2002. I paid full price for those along with a PowerTec Smith machine with lat pulldown attachment, the PowerBlock classic 85lb dumbbell set and stand, and a 6' x 6' 1/2" interlocking rubber flooring setup. I sold off the smith machine and PowerBlocks. LOL, I wish I'd of known about this site before then, for what I paid for at full price I could've have outfitted my gym with everything I have now from Craigs List deals and horse stall mats from Tractor Supply. I use the 6' x 6' rubber flooring outside on my patio. Makes and expensive but nice outdoor area rug.

For me it would be my Parabody Lat Pulldown with 205 lb stack. I think I still had a chintzy bench press when I got it, which means I've had it for about 8 years. Since then, I've been through another POS bench press, a POS smith machine, a Body Solid power rack, and my current rack. It's about the only thing I haven't upgraded.
