So ...I kind of have a bigger nose..slightly Jewish but nothing out of the ordinary.
Tonight as I was doing lat pull downs i go to let it come back up and I hit myself in the nose. Oy vey!!
I didn't hurt myself but I was trying not to lol so hard I had to go to the bathroom for a few minutes and wait there.. Didn't wanna look crazy laughing to myself.
I don't think anyone else saw ...or if they did they were being polite.
Any other girls do something really funny/embarrassing at the gym and wanna share?

I get wedgies ALL THE TIME. I refuse to work out commando (sweat um gross) and I even bought those "work out" underwear. Nope. So each time I change my workout position, I am debating whether or not to pick my wedgie. Maybe that's gross but whatever lol.
Oh, I did hit myself in the face with a dumbbell once. I got a little over zealous and smashed my face with it lol.Every. Day. Counts.

Lol that's what you get for using momentum!
Just kidding
Regardless, just pick it out. Wedgies make me lose my focus and then ALL I can think about is that my undies are up my crack lol
Unfixed wedgie=workout ruined
No one else?? It sure is slower on the female side lol**Be the change you wish to see on the misc**

I was in the middle of glute bridge with 45 kg weights on me when my ex husband whatsapped me telling he wants a divorce (true story). I started to laugh so hard all of my weights fell right off me and the whole gym stared as if I was crazy as hell. Some of them even asked me if I was ok or if I need help with my workout.
To infinity and beyond!

Add me to the DB face smash club. Thought I broke my nose bringing a DB from behind my head doing tricep extensions.

I also have a tendency to end up with more chalk on my clothes than on my hands because I chalk up, forget of I've chalked up and pull on my shirt or my pants or wipe my hand across my face for some stupid reason. I look like I'm in kindergarten.

Ages ago I had a brain fart and put safeties on squat rack upside down, didn't put clips on. Started squatting 60kg ..crapped out on 4th or 5th rep cos went too low, dropped it, it rolled knocked me on my ass kept rolling off the end then tipped over and a 20kg fell off one side. Rescued by gym guys coming from all directions ..LMFEmbarrassedAO

I went to a class once where they did exercises with the big ball... we were doing like jumping jacks on the ball where you sort of squat on ball and bounce up into a jumping jack and repeat.. my ball popped right out from under me - knocked someone else off their ball and bounced off -- the entire class had to stop and regroup. I think it only hit the 1 person but a couple more lost their balance or whatever and were off theirs as well . so .. and it was my FIRST time EVER in any group class at all at the gym. Its funny now but I almost died that day.

This didn't happen to me, but I witnessed it at the gym a couple days ago. Our gym just bought new bands to replace the old ones, and they have a lot less give. There was a guy doing band-assisted pull ups on one of the higher pull up bars, and mid-rep the band snapped and he fell of the ground. I felt bad for him, especially since the gym was crowded and people saw.

I unracked all the weight off of one side of the bar without thinking, stepped away, and as it flipped and whistled past my ears I thought "please don't hit the furnace please don't hit the furnace please don't hit the furnace." Fortunately, it didn't but now I am probably overly cautious, going back and forth between the sides when changing plates.
Also lost my footing stepping down during step-ups and ended up flinging a dumbbell across the room as I fell.

I have a weird but funny tale. It would have been embarrassing if I hadn't thought the guy was way weird. I was doing BB hip thrusts one day and the platform on the back of the incline press rack is the perfect height. It's the thing with the seat in the front where someone sits and incline presses the BB, and the spotter can stand on the platform above them to help if needed.
I was set up and doing my hip thrusts when a guy comes over and decides to use the other side of the platform for calf raises. ??? So he's facing my head right above me basically doing calf raises while I'm thrusting. It was a really weird moment and I just looked at him like he'd lost his mind. He could have done his calf raises anywhere else, but no. LOL!Online Training and Nutrition Coach

I stacked it on a box jump once, still have a scar on my leg from that! And then a couple weeks later I was moving the trap bar out of the way, managed to trip over it and landed on my face...whacked my shin into it so hard I genuinely thought I might've fractured my tibia. Somehow managed to just keep on going and do my deadlifts, but it hurt so bad.
And just the other week I got my leg caught when I was done with leg extensions. Face planted that one too. And I'm sure I've whacked myself in the face with dumbbells a few times as well. There's a reason I keep getting random bruises!

IKR! If I hadn't been so shocked and a little peeved, I'd have stopped and ended my set. I'm not even sure the thought process behind this. If he had to do calf raises right then, he easily could have gone elsewhere. Smith machine, calf machine??? If he was making a move on me, then he thought that was the way??? LOL.

Tried to squat with a 45 and 25 on one side and just a 45 on the other. Guess how that turned out.

Roman nose checking in, I have bashed my nose with lat pulldowns a million times. One of these days I'll phuck myself up bad enough to finally get that nose job I have been wanting...
Like others I have also put different weights on each side of the bar. Or put on 45s when I really wanted to put on 35s then got buried under the weight while asking myself "Gee, why am I so weak today?"
I have my favorite fart story though. I workout in a small gym at work, so we are all pretty close to each other when we work out and we are all colleagues, so no chance of being forgotten in anonymity there. One day I was pretty gassy and while doing a lift I let out a really loud fart. I tried to brush it off thinking everybody had their earphones on and nobody heard me. Then I turn around and NOT A SINGLE PERSON WAS WEARING EARPHONES.
Am I the only one that after a loud fart tries to pretend it really was my shoes squeaking on the floor or some other retarded chit like that?Follow my 2018 competition prep here:
