Battery life is claimed 2 - 6 hours depending on use. That's fine. A 3DS has similar battery life and it's not nearly as powerful as this will be.

Not sure I would call it an emphasis on motion controls. Because they're supported doesn't mean that's the whole shebang. Nintendo has already shown a "normal" controller for it, along with playing it on the go without motion controls.

They haven't had if the online service is paid or not... not like anyone complains about Sony and Microsoft charging for this.

720p for a portable gaming device is perfectly fine, and you're getting caught up in the numbers vs reality if this bothers you or you feel the need to rant about it. There's differences in real gaming and just consuming media.


Either way, I'll wait until it's out or a few months and keep playing my PS4 in the meantime.

This alone shows your level of ignorance when it comes to gaming and technology in general. Neither Sony nor Microsoft has or will have in the near future a console capable of even getting more than 1 frame per second in 4k. The most basic video card capable of running 4k 60fps costs roughly twice the price of a PS4 pro.

First party Nintendo games have been running in 1080p at 60fps almost a decade thanks to their less intensive gpu requirements. Most games on the Xbox one and Ps4 still aren't running at 60fps in 1080p. Had your claim been "the switch is going to be far less powerful than a Ps4 Pro", then it would have been accurate.

For the first time I was really excited for a Nintendo Console and thought that they turned a corner and might actually actively compete with PS/Xbox ... I reckon the Switch will be a massive hit in Japan and only do slightly better than the Wii-U globally.

Yep.Super Mario 3 is still in my top 5 games of all time, but even I admit playing Nintendo games just doesnt hold much interest to me after the first 15 mins.

Sorry to tell ya the only reason Nintendo doesn't have those kind of games is because it's a system for kids. No point marketing adult mature rated multiplayer games on a system where 90 percent of the purchases will be made by parents for their children. I highly doubt Nintendo owning parents are going to purchase a game called bloodborne with a cover of Gothic adult art for their 12 year old.
