Both sexes have similar reactions but to different things.

Women:

Older women that are losing there "glow" do not like to be around younger women that are in there prime.


Men:

Less successful men with less money don't like to be around men that are more successful and have more wealth.


Both are similar situations that bring out a competitive jealousy but come from different angles because of the difference in physical/psychological sexual roles.

I think most of us can agree that guy's are just as bad. Look at the guy's that post pics here on a daily basis. It could be a pic of their face, hair, outfit or a typical body pic. The guy's swarm in those threads tearing them down and ripping them to pieces.

I mean ever heard of the term cockblocking? Both sexes try to out compete each other. For example, one hot girl has a choice between two guys at a bar and they both see each other as threats. Honestly I don't believe I do this anymore. I may sub consciously think like that at times but I believe I do not say things like the above because to start with I hate conflict so I will avoid it, instead of making fuss about someone at my workplace being slow I will just do extra work
