On a positive note, I have a lot more time on my hands from not browsing the forums. It used to be fun around here but there just seems to be nothing going on? I didnt even watch the last mr o. I just don't really care anymore. I guess I care enough to check up once every 2-3 months. It was nice hearing cedric won the arnold. other than that, losing kai really sucked. It's just dead. stagnant.

I've been here a long time and have seen this forum go through many transformations with various epics but what I would identify as the final nail in the coffin was the 2013 - 2014 Phil vs Kai wars.

Regardless of who you thought deserved what......most agree that Phil's best form was 2011
Yet he has won 2012 - 16. That's 5 years of zero surprises combined with lesser competition.

There was some good times though.

1) 2012 Olympia was probably the closest 1st & 2nd place EVER

2) A couple epic Cedric showings

3) Big Rami just in general and Big Rami last year.

4) Dennis Wolf finding his post cookie monster groove.

5) Dexter making yet another late career run.

6) I believe it was the 2010 Sheru Classic

7) 2009 Jay

These were all post Ronnie era highlights that were awesome.

Extremely transparent live judging along with the end of paying your dues and name recognition would go along way towards putting a band-aid on the sport but I honestly have no idea what could actually save it.

I'm going to be honest and say right now classic physique seems more interesting. People like Chris Bumstead, Cody Drobot, Arash Rahbar, etc

In bodybuilding we have
1. Phil will win unless he comes in off
2. Rhoden peaked
3. Dexter looks the same. In all reality it's only downhill from here and it's not interesting to me to see how many years he can bring the same package
4. Ramy who cant come in shape. We know his potential and maybe he will place 2nd and win once Phil retires
5. Bonac not expecting anything new
6. Roelly not expecting anything new

Akim - person i'm interested in the most right now. spent a long offseason at oxygen gyms
Dallas - his current team sucks and his 2017 showings were unimpressive
Josh L - not really interested in him. good bodybuilder but lacks the freak factor to get top 4 ever imo
Compton - I hope he does well but my hopes for him don't reflect the reality of his placings. Came pretty off last O
DeAsha - Good potential but weird structure imo. Super long torso can hinder him

Classic Physique was boring at first but now I'm curious to see if anybody will beat Danny. To me, he had the worst physique in the top 10 along with Sadik. For the next few years, I predict a lot of Mr.Olympias in that category until somebody dominant comes along. George Peterson has an insane back but to me he just looks like a lighter bodybuilder, not particularly aesthetic. I'm rooting for Calum or Chris Bumstead to win this year.

I know I'm going to catch a lot of flack for this, but I don't think even a 200 lb 20 something year old Flex could beat those 2 on stage let alone a 50 something year old Flex. Flex in 1993 was about 15 lb too heavy for CP. 1990 Flex would have been an accurate prediction as to how he would have looked like on stage and I barely see that in the top 6.

I hope that some of the younger classic physique people use it as a gateway to jump into full bodybuilding in the future. Chris Bumstead + 50lb would be insane

Regarding Bumstead, I think he's better suited for CP. He has that perfect flow and balanced physique. I don't think he has those 3d bellies necessary to be competitive with the freaks. Seems to me, CP is an even playing field between whites and african americans. In the open, I don't think we'll see a non-black Mr.O for some time

Charles' shouldn't have placed top 15. It's ugly and angular imo. Every time he doesn't win a show he whines about in on his instagram even when he's clearly outclassed. Not a fan of him

Robert Timms imo was the real winner last year, hopefully he will place higher this year although I wouldn't have been mad had Arash won it. Ruff Diesel was overlooked, I still think Chris was made for classic physique, he's 6'0" which is a little on the tall side for bodybuilding and genetically his arms are not the best which is a huge hindrance considering almost everyone in the top 10 at the O has genetically solid arms; although his legs are very solid. yeah there's a few more names I'm forgetting
- ruff looks great but lacks that classic flow imo. I can't decide if i have him top 3 or out of the top 10. It's hard to explain
- timms has a stringy look. It's similar to charles but it's pleasing. I don't have timms in the top 4 but I think he should have placed better than he did last year
- flex same thing as levrone. i'm a debby downer and not excited about the old guys returning. I'm guessing he will won't place just like levrone didn't. when you get a liver transplant, you're not even supposed to eat a high protein diet like he needs to do let alone take the substances he's going to take

side note: cody drobot needs a lot of time before he becomes top 3. he's small compared to the other people. nice lines but needs to fill out much more. the guy doesn't even have a pro card yet but dolgin says this guy should be #1 at the O

That vexes me greatly. I understand you're a noob but if you have a half a brain, you could figure out this section is dedicated to discussing IFBB pros and competitions. All those threads should be moved but the admins are sleeping.
