RIP IFBB SECTION bodybuilding.com
The sport is boring and full of politics, lies and terrible physiques. You can't keep this forum alive posting the same pics over and over again.
It was a blast. My run was late 2010 to about late 2013 with rare visits afterwards, but its gonna be no more now... Love bbing but hate the sport (yes i know my username lol). Cant say i'll follow another arnold classic or Mr O contest
Some of the funniest times of my early twenties was on this forum. The most fierce shytstorms Ive had the pleasure to be a part of (countless anti Ronnie wars, Jay's comeback in 2013, kai vs phil of 2012). Some of the best trolls ive seen and the best times flaming them...
...but the best I gotta admit was the ifbb regulars... you guys made this a community. Funny, relatable and inspiring. Shout outs to...

Thanks for the shoutout bro. This forum was busy a few years ago. Threads were being created like crazy. From what I can tell, social media (********/Instagram, YouTube) has taken over. Everyone goes on there for news/pics and videos. I still post here, but I'm mostly promoting my social media pages now:

It's our own fault really. I remember there were a few competitions going on late last year that I didn't know about because no one on here was posting anything about them.
It is with people like you that this sport will never grow. "When you say, everything and anything to be pro, do you mean even to turn HOMO?...

so many years in these forums...its seems to me that the main reason is that the bodybuilding scene is not what it used to be. After Jay's retirement i personally lost interest. Some great physiques but no interesting personalities any more.

damn there were some good debates, good posters, good trolls and good contest threads, that 2007 O thread when Jay finally beat Ronnie, Wolf jumped from 16th to 5th, that obnoxious chick on the telecast and with Will Harris getting his imaginary soap suds, feet shuffling, Fred Flintstones running crazy routine... just one of the many gold star threads.....
RIP IFBB section.....
guess we can still look forward to the annual Stealth Swimmer picture thread!! Hold it down for us brother..the rest of us will probably continue to lurk every now and then in a way you cant detect! If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. - Bruce Lee

The sport of bodybuilding was dying well before the name change. That is why the board short competition exists. The IFBB is trying desperately to keep people involved in the sport. They need a complete overhaul of how they do things in regards to shows and who gets into the Olympia. You get no updates on athletes before a show, only one show a year for half the competitors, and the biggest thing is that right now there are no stand out guys. Phil is such a bore, Kai is basically retired, etc. Where are the weekly YT vids of guys like Branch and JoJ killing it in the gym? Vids like Ronnie squatting 800? Hour long Jay workout videos? They don't exist anymore.
