This, keep seeing really vague "% gained" responses, but what about in terms of actual USD dollar amounts??

For example something like "I bought X coin at Y and I've made $20k" would be encouraging for us newcomers.

why does it matter how much someone else makes in terms of USD? everyone ITT has different financial responsibilities, obligations, situations, etc. How much they make in terms of dollars is pretty irrelevant to the rest of us

Bros, I think I need to consolidate some of my portfolio. Which positions would you sell off? This is the part that I'm struggling most with in crypto: when to sell. Ideally I'd like to keep all my positions and just ride them out but I know not all of these projects will succeed in the long run. But in the back of my head the thought of, "if I sell now it could be waty too early - like those who sold their bitcoin at $20". Most of these crytos are so abstract and still in the development (we hope) stage so there's nothing really tangible to go by when making buy/sell decisions.

You'll bounce back, mane (or Nexus will). Even Buffett made a lot of investing mistakes. And you don't lose money until you actually sell

That's my major issue though...knowing when to sell. With stocks atleast you have credible news, earning reports, etc to go by. With cryptos I feel like it's all hunches. Probably why I'm not going to let myself sell anything - the pain of seeing a previously owned cryto explode after I sell it would be excruciating.

I wrote a decent thing on it. I have put like 100 into it. I have 200 nexus

Its a long term bet imo. And thr developer doesnt want wild fluctuations, instead, steady growth. So i think he tries to keep things almost secretive. Bottom line i dont think hes trying tl hype it up

Anyways. The dude is the son of thr cofounder of elon musk's spacex, so i think he has some connections

There are plenty of people who have made 5 or 6 figures, just depends when they got in and how much they were willing to risk.

And if they aren't telling their friends about their gains they probably won't tell you. There's no doubt many people have made 100k+ just in the last week with ETH and the booming alt coins

Im 100% ethereum but im moving a large portion of my portfolio into BAT for hopefully a quick spike before i move roughly 95% back into eth. After that Im really looking forward to SWARM and casper. If any other big dapps are announced i will consider them.

My strategy is a lower risk strategy in my opinion. Being in crypto in general is a huge risk. I would really like to get out, but im in too deep lol.

I'm only in ETH too. And like I said, I invested money I can afford to lose, while being happy to follow along and excited to see 100% returns.

I'd be looking to sell a percentage of your tokens and keep the rest for LT. But personally I'd lock-in those profits fo sho.

registered on cointacking.info (it's free). it let's you import all your trades through the various exchanges (polo, bittrex, etc) and provides customs charts/reports/all that. really damn useful and easy to set up (auto-importer ftw)

re: #2. that's the issue I'm struggling with. I'm pretty much comfortable losing my entire investment. Sure it would suck but I'm positive I'd be more upset if I sold too early and had to watch XYZ coin go to the moon. I know all my investments wont pan out - some will flop and others will succeed. In this space it's hard to really decipher which category each project will fall into

It STARTED to trigger during this pump, so I managed to cancel it after 1.5 mill of it sold.
