    Overhead Squat

    Has anyone heard of the overhead squat?I heard of it from here: http://www.renegadetraining.com/arti..._top_nine.html
    Have you guys ever tried it?Did you get the same benefits from it like it says it has?

    I do OH squats somtimes. I like them, havnt done them enough to find results yet.

    alright.also,there are some great exercises on that page I posted.Those look and sound beneficial.I've heard of the last exercise described on that page.

    I do OverHead squats 2x a week and damn are they hard. If your gonna do them start with really light weight.

    Pirate, what do you squat and what do you overhead squat?


    I'm curious because I squat like ~200 but I think I'm gonna have a LOT of trouble with 50 pounds on the OH.

    I doubt I could use ~110 or so.

    It seems like a real difficult movement.

    Most i've done for 3 x 5 is 135. My regular max squat is around 475 right now. I just recently injured my hip during football practice so things are a bit slow.
    As for using the same as military mines not even close. I maxed out military at 245. The hardest part of the squat is keeping your arms locked during the squat. Kinda hard to explain. Also i dont just do the over head squat, i do snatch squat. Every rep i snatch the weight over head then do a squat. Killer all body work.
