Ricochet would've been more possible due to the sheer nature of looking at the pictures, unless she got shot from a distance, anything above a .22 at that range would've straight up killed her, not even hospitalized.

I didn't read the article, scroll quickly to last page and saw that. Holy chit, that range is like 5 miles from my old apartment in Anderson. I would've joined the year I moved but I was pretty sure the job offer would go through. At the time I think it was only $150 a year.

There was an 'accidental shooting' at the range I did used to go to though just this year:

When I was in the school cadets playing soldiers (age 16 Extra curricular don't know what it's called in 'Merica) we were at a small pistol range, think they were .22s or something, but the class dipstick next to me decided he was Dirty Harry and started pointing the gun down at the ground before attempting to raise it slowly..... It went off while pointed at his foot, missed by three inches. Teacher went slightly bananas.

I was like

BCT Ft. Benning GA Qualifying range (the day before life fire i think). When all targets pop up and down the instructor over the loud speak has us lock the bolt back and charge the weapon twice to make sure no round is in the chamber. There were 4 shooting barrels where you do a dry fire (charge and fire as if there was a round, so you should'nt hear anything but metal on metal. Some guy from 4th platoon did nothing and had a wet fire into the clearing barrels. Man....their DS's smoked them on the range, on the march back, again in the CTA, had them do a heat dump, then smoked them in the gravel pit. and they had the SCARY DS. retired marine turn army DS. They had 5 guys become heat cats that day
