If you could only have one suit color, what would it be? I attended a funeral last weekend and do not own a suit. The funeral was very soon following the death so I didn't have time to get something tailored (since I know that is the most important factor of any suit). I think I still looked good, but I definitely would like to own one suit that can serve multiple purposes. I wore black shoes, black chinos (opted for a brand new pair that I hadn't worn before over dress pants because these chinos fit much better), black belt, a white dress shirt, and a black tie. I could post a pic if interested.
While I certainly wasn't the most casually dressed there, I do want to get a suit and have it available for most situations. I'll do research on where to buy and things like that, mostly looking for opinion on color.Misc Firearms Crew

It certainly isn't my favorite suit I own (in fact far from it) but I have a dark-ish gray one that I find to be pretty versatile. It was my first "nice" suit I purchased after I graduated college and I found it was a perfect choice, as I've worn it at funerals, job interviews, a wedding, and probably more I am not thinking of.Originally Posted by RThoe

probably navy. Its pretty versatile as you can wear it to work and for events where you have to dress up. Black is usually worn to funerals, but its a bit too similar to a waiter or drivers outfit for going out. IMO.Originally Posted by RThoe

As a 21 year old in college, not easy to acquire a solid suit for internship interviews/formal stuff. However, been checking ebay and there are some interesting deals on Brooks Brothers suits and blazers. Thinking of picking one up for cheap and then getting it tailored since BB is high quality and i'm on a budget. Thoughts?
