    30g Protien per sitting.....

How accurate is it that your body can only process approx 30 to 35g protien per sitting. Anymore goes to waste?

    False.

There is a limit to how much protein your body can use to build muscle at once (diminishing rates of return), but your body will process all of the protein that you eat (assuming you're not eating to the point of making yourself ill).

In other words, 20g of whey after a workout can help you build muscle. 40g of whey after a workout can help you build more muscle (but not twice as much). 60g of whey after a workout is likely no better than 40, but your body will process all 60g. If it didn't, then you'd be ill.

Also, keep in mind that the amount of leucine varies in different protein sources. 40g of whey may be as much as can be useful for you to build muscle with at a time, but it would be more for a protein source that had less leucine in it, e.g. chicken.
    You can't help the hopeless.

Very false. I've seen bigger athletes eat 10oz of meat per meal... not saying their body uses it all but I bet it's close.

False. Everything you eat will take time for your body to absorb. So your body might only process and absorb so much protein within a given hour, but it takes much longer for your body to absorb a meal. Takes several hours.
Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!

Everybody is different and you cant put a right number on how much is too much. Protein is thermogenic, you'll know when too much is too much when (like the others said) you start feeling sick and exhausted from injesting so much in one sitting

I'm betting they can't eat enough food in one meal to meet their macros

There are some things the best bodybuilders in the world do that we can't even talk about of course, so, there's that

It's also important to differentiate between "absorption" and assimilation of protein.

Its just crazy that all the best bodybuilders in the world are also more juice than a race horse, and people fail to use logic and realize that anabolics skew the whole system, and not a good foundation of a constant

Increasing the rates of protein synthesis via artificial means changes the whole scope of meal timing.

That's not a fair measuring stick to use to determine food intake for a regular lifter.

I agree 100% with you... but I still think a regular lifter can get more than 30 grams a meal and it be used and not wasted.

Not true. Think about cavemen, they had to eat as much meat as possible because they didn't know when their next meal would be. If they couldn't use all the protein they'd probably have died off.

That would be more along the lines of calorie needs of hunter gatherers, not protein assimilation

Evan Centopani eats only 5 meals a day averaging 3500 cals total and he is not natty.

Sounds like many bodybuilders are doing it wrong.
