Max Holloway vs. Anthony Pettis
Donald Cerrone vs. Matt Brown
Doo Ho Choi vs. Cub Swanson
Kelvin Gastelum vs. Tim Kennedy
Misha Cirkunov vs. Nikita Krylov
These are my picks.
- pettis seems super inconsistent, hes great but so hard to back him.
- matt brown is really good but i dont see him beating cowboy. This isnt a title fight so cowboy wins
- Cub is getitng older and Choi seems like a monster right now
- lol Kelvin
- Misha is a Toronto legend no way im not rooting for a hometown hero. Plus hes super nice and his classes are awesome.Misc BJJ crew
Misc Muay Thai Crew.

I just hope Kennedy demolishes Fatgelum, Cerrone puts on a good fight, and Max continues his roll. Still not overly impressed by this card tbh, fake title fight as main soured me.. if they want the main to be a 5 round fight thats fine, but stripping a guy whos only held the belt for 11 months is a joke just because they want to put interim title on the marquee.
Without GSP on this card, it seems hollow. We have been hearing hype for the past 6 months about him returning, much of the hype from the UFC themselves, but when it comes down to actually paying people not named Conor they just arent that interested afterall. For every man, there is a sentence, a string of words, that has the power to destroy him

Then strip him at a reasonable time, not just because you want to make a interim championship due to deciding not to pay GSP to headline your Canada card.
Lots of champs have gone over a year without defending a belt, 11 months just a few weeks after allowing him to fight for a second belt is just reeking of usury. They use the belts and the champs to make them money, not to show who is the actual top dog in a division. Making a paper champion doesnt solve the question of "is this guy the best in the world at this weight" it solves the problem of "we dont have a headliner for UFC 206 because we are too cheap to pay GSP" Stripping Conor kills two birds with one stone- it allows them to sell a card, and it allows them to take away some of his power over the company in finiancial negotiations, but it devalues the belt from an actual whos the best guy standpoint.
So the proper way to strip a guy is to tell him you need him to defend against the #1 contender by a certain reasonable date, then if him and his management refuse the fight, you have more valid rights to take away a belt for non defense, as a promoter just forecasting that a guy is not going to defend because you have a main card slot to fill is a joke to the validity of the belt in the first place. For every man, there is a sentence, a string of words, that has the power to destroy him

Yeah im hardly a Conor fanboy, im just not into shady UFC money grabs and backhanded dealings, and honestly the fact that Pettis is even fighting for a made up interim title with his post USADA performances kind of makes me a little sick to my stomach.
If they wanted to strip Conor and give Aldo the belt as the clear #1 contender/current fake interim belt holder at some point that is their prerogative based on the criteria I used above- that they announce a reasonable target date and give Conor the actual right of refusal to fight for his belt defense. But giving Aldo Conors belt and then making up a NEW fake interim belt fight just to fill the main card on an event they had a built in huge seller lined up to headline in GSP, but refused to pay him appropriately, is just shady business. I cant get down with that. For every man, there is a sentence, a string of words, that has the power to destroy him

Food for thought: Daniel Cormier last defended the LHW Belt on the 3rd October 2015.
Connor got the Featherweight belt on 12th December 2015.
Should DC Be stripped? I mean you stripping connor, why not DC? only retards will think this was to "make the sport more official", this was literally done to save the 206 card, nothing else.

I wonder when Conor haters will look at themselves in the mirror and realise that they're massive ******* cucks.
First it was the UFC caliber fighter (Holloway), then it was the jiu jitsu black belt (Brandao), then it was the top 5 guy (Poirier), then it was the monster wrestler (Mendes), then it was the world champion FW GOAT arguably #1 P4P fighter in the world (Aldo), then it was the 155er (Alvarez) and now he has to defend his belt to finally prove himself LOL. You have all been wrong every step of the way, maybe just own up to being complete and utter fukwits.

not mcgregor's fault? McGregor wanted to be a two-way champion so UFC allowed conor to fight RDA, but that didn't happen. So he fought Diaz, lost. Then he wanted to fight Diaz again. Then he wanted a shot at the LW title so he fought Eddie. Conor ran that show, not the UFC, they just merely profited off of it. Conor could have just as easily said I want to defend my title and the UFC would have made it happen. He clearly doesn't have any interest in fighting Aldo. He said so himself.
