Glad to see it worked out for you, I guess my gut feeling was wrong. Still not sure how they can do it, I had some small pieces powder coated for work and the paint job itself was about $200 for a lot less metal coverage. Edit: oh, and looks like I owe CMarti a free lunch

My thoughts exactly. I can't even fathom how that can sell it for this price.. Looks like the deal of the century, right now. I wish I had the space for it

Here's a vid... You can enjoy when my phone falls out of the tripod & proceeds to kill my digitizer.

    https://youtu.be/rwYvNO6vlrA

Didn't notice it while I was using it, but I guess my feet do hang off the bottom of the plate a bit. Felt fine while doing 'em tho... Like I mentioned earlier, I'm 220-225 right now & as you can see, there's no flex or swaying.

Now, I will say I have the bolts pretty tight for the foot adjustment since I will be the only one using it. If you loosen them up a bit to pull the pin & adjust, you'll have some play in the foot holder. There are no bearings or anything, just bolts/washers/nylocks.

Any questions or additional pics you guys want, let me know.

Well, F*ck. That thing looks great. I might have to get out the tape measure and the feng shui book and see where I could fit one...

How well does the adjustment mechanism work? Smooth?

At this price, it could be bought, sent to sandblast, repowder coated, pads redone and it would still end up cheaper than it's competition.

On the website they have the length as 70". Doesn't look that long to me. Is it really almost 6 feet long? Trying to decide if I have extra space...

Assuming the pictures/video show it on a 6' stall mat, it has to be pretty close to 70".

Looks like it would take up most of a standard 6' x 4' stall mat. I'm expecting delivery of mine within an hour or so. Now I just have to wait for Tractor Supply to bring down the stall mats to $30 for BF so I can grab a few more.

With vid and pictures it looks rock solid. I'd be hard pressed not to buy if I was in the market or had been toying with it. I already have a GHD so I won't be buying but otherwise I'd jump on this.

Appreciate the review/pics and video as well as being guinea pig. Very helpful.

Maybe he received the showroom demo and all the next ones will be crap, lol. Time will tell, but it really does seem fine. QC could be hit or miss, but the one posted looks good. They could raise price another $100-200 easily.

Sick deal and must be Titan's loss leader. Wonder how long it will last after Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Those that don't have a GHD might want to jump now before its gone.

I'm right there with you. I try and purchase from local/small business first, then USA made before exploring foreign made equipment, but this ultimately is good for driving the prices down for USA made equipment hopefully. China made doesn't have to be bad provided quality materials and supervision are being used. If I only had a little more space I'd probably be all over this, but Good Mornings and Glute Ham Roller will have to do.

Why? These companies seem to improve every year and the price is impossible to beat. If you're on a small budget, it's hard to justify certain pieces of equipment just based on brand name.

    B) I'm not on a small budget. But I didn't get where I am by driving a Mercedes when a Chevy will do the same job for 1/3 the price...hence the conflict.

Titan is a USA based company right? They pay employees, those employees pay taxes, buy houses, and spend money on consumer goods.

When I was in highschool, I did an essay on protectionism. This was the late eighties and at the time I was going to school in the states. I thought it was a good idea, such was the sentiment at the time.

Back in Canada, I see a lot of people with "Made in Canada Matters" bumper stickers. However, mathematically it just doesn't work. Canada exports nine cars for every car that is purchased. However, if we bought all Canadian produced cars we might theoretically have up to 10% more work domestically. That's great, until you consider that if the US had the same mindset and didn't import Canadian built cars (closed their factories) we'd lose 90% to 100% of the jobs in that sector.

Bottom line, protectionism sucks! Well at least it does if you're a net exporting country. I'm pretty sure the U.S. is a net exporter.

You guys suck......er........rock........er.........suck!!! !! Just ordered. I was going to wait for the CFF model floor GFD to go on BF sale, but this was the same price and more of what I was looking for. My dealings with Titan have all be excellent, so I'm pretty confident it will be the same as Kram's.

LOL, thanks for clearing that up. I actually already used that logic. Bought a Nissan in 2000, made in Tennessee. Domestic offerings from that era were mostly expensive garbage, simply no way to justify the "made in USA" surcharge. Sort of what I'm running into here.

So what is the shipping weight? Is it 190lbs?

I'm interested in ordering one to Canada, but that could go very badly.

Order Shipping to Canada or Puerto Rico: Delivery to Canada and Puerto Rico - Please email or call us for shipping rates to these locations. Taxes or duties are not included in any prices quoted. Small items like hydraulic couplers ship via the Postal Service. Medium items ship via common ground carriers and large items over 150LBS ship via truck lines.

Off the top, $300 becomes $400 due to exchange, then shipping would add at least $100. Using the wrong courier could spell disastrous brokerage charges. So this could end up be $700 CDN or more.

The Rogue would be $1000 plus $200 shipping. So $1200 CDN for comparison sake.

I probably should fire Titan an email for quote and more details.

I emailed them earlier today. Just got an email back saying "To ship the GHD to Canada, the shipping cost is $630.76 in USD"

I emailed back to clarify whether that was the "shipping cost" alone, or whether that includes the GHD... Either way, I'm out. It wasn't on my list, but if it was super inexpensive then I could justify it.
