Rogue called me back directly to make things right so I'll give them a lot of respect for that. Good luck with your Rogue orders, but I guess custom anything is out of the question in regards to their shipping deals. We'll see how the rest of the MBF deals pan out this year.

I made too smaller orders with rogue with basically fillers to get the 5/5 but the bulk of my money went to CFF. Their sale today was ridiculous. Still might put in a third order with rogue if anything desirable shows up.
Anybody have a recommendation for a swiss\multi-grip bar for benching? I really need to take as much pressure off my shoulders as possible.

Yea I would almost recommend working with a local cross fit box and see if you could organize a group buy or jump in on an order to get that free shipping on $5K orders. Black Friday is good for standard stuff, but the custom orders are out. If you're reading this Rogue please add shorter rear storage cross members as a standard option. 24 inch standard is nice for them because it cuts down on their costs and part numbers, but i would venture to say a lot of people building home gyms want a smaller foot print.

Just used their chat to ask if a few big items would be put on the hot deals list. The guy on the chat said the employees didn't know what would be put on the hot deals list.
Apparently the computer system that runs Rogue's online sales has become self aware and gone rogue, literally. It is making random decisions and not letting the human Rogue employees know what it will put on sale. We need to get in contact with John Connor ASAP and send him to Colombus, OH to Rogue headquarters.

Sifting thru the Amazon deals, ran across this one for anyone looking or cheap plates. After the bar is dumped you have a pretty reasonable price on a set.

Has anyone purchased the Rogue Dog Sled before and got the 100 ft pulling rope with it? There's no pulling rope for sale on their website other than a $300 one but the add on rope is only $170... I can't imagine Rogue dropping $130 off the price just because you're buying it in a package. I don't want to get the add on if it's just a regular skinny rope I could pick up for much less.

Same here. Lol. Do i need fraction plates? Not so much. Do they look cool? Yes. Yes they do.
Ended up ordering a Rogue RM-3 (in red), monster matador, short plate storage 4 pack, multi-use hanger, and the fraction plates. Pretty stoked to save on shipping. Nothing I bought was on sale thoughEquipment Crew #68, Ivanko Crew #47, Rogue Barbell Club #7, Mech6 Crew #30

Makes sense, otherwise the employees would be bothered by everyone doing high-math trying to time the perfect time to buy something. This way it keeps things random.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know why so many people are pissed off about the deals, they may not be the greatest (for you), but if you factor in the fact that Rogue is eating the shipping and these aren't exactly cheap items to ship, they're not all bad deals. Don't get your panties in a bunch if what YOU want isn't on sale.
Of course, having said that, I'll be writing tomorrow about how pissed off I am that the items I bought are now cheaper, etc
Congrats, can't wait to see the pics. I checked the status of my order and some pieces are already shippedUSAPL RAW Competitor

It still amazes me how popular/well known rogue is to have a very loyal fan base. Some of the items sold speak of this. They are able to give minimal discounts and still sell out on items. Does rogue not give big discounts...yes. Is your rogue item not on sale...maybe. But some of the members have to think of the whole picture with everyone buying equipment, shipping is a very big savings, especially if your item weighs a few hundred pounds or is big. For me, especially, I will have to get freight shipping or LTL do deliver mine...that's a huge cost to rogue.

It's a pretty smart tactic, I can see how yearly discounts that are DEEP could hurt profits throughout the year. Like the CAP OB-86b barbell, haven't seen it go on sale for $99 like years past, makes me wonder if they will stop doing that because it has hurt regular sales even though it's WELL worth $150 for what you are getting.
Sadly the Rogue deals will always essentially be crap for me, I live an hour away so I can get free shipping 24/7 365....▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #58 ▪█─────█▪

duffalo bar bar steel on sale for $599 with a free shoulder rok
I wasn't going to get this but now with the free shoulder rok i'm on the fence
already bought calf raise from elite fts, 3 in 1 box, rogue deadlift platform, iron master + add on kit to 120, plus more....I feel like i've already spent about 2500 or so....but it's on sale
Plus I still need to add one item to my rogue 5 for 5 (with the dead platform order)....waiting on a hot deal of some sort to spark my interest. Already have like 5-6 straight bars and a SSB so none of their bars really interest me

Yes - they really don't do huge discounts unless the product is a flop (i.e. Mono-Stand $950->$575) or they are closing out an older version (they semi-blew out the RM 7ga racks last year).
But year after year, people expect giant discounts then post displeasure/disapproval...here's some from this year:

I've wanted both, but I'm still not buying.
The duffalo has been as low as ~$510 previously with a 15% off code. With shipping, that puts it around $550 or so. With Shoulderok being $130 (discounted price) + some more shipping...the full price Duffalo+free Shoulderok isn't that much of a better deal....plus you have to spend more money. For me, it's $663 for BF for both. If I really just wanted the Duffalo, the $550 shipped would've been better on veterans day or labor day whenever it was.
I still can't get over the fact that it's a curved bare steel barbell for double the price of an excellent plated straight barbell.Last edited by Bench905; 11-25-2016 at 06:52 PM.

honestly though i don't really expect anything really great on deals; i think people go from browsing Amazon.com and see things marked down 30-60% and then go to equipment websites where the good stuff can't usually be marked down so low...
i think my only surprise with Rogue was not realizing their 7GA sell off one or two years ago was just them clearing stock of a discontinued item is all.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

It's a very smart tactic, why would they do deep discounts, if it will hurt their regular sell by a good amount. Via example, someone is looking to buy an RML690 3 weeks out prior to black friday, knowing they might not be on sale( and even so it won't be much), but will save on shipping, do they wait or just buy it...if they want/need it now chances are they will just buy it especially if you can get it a few days later.

I've never even paid attention to the previous sales.
I definitely agree it is totally overpriced but I guess if people are buying it.... It's not
To me low bar squats are so much more comfortable everywhere but my shoulders. I have baseball shoulders so low bar sometimes will flame up my biceps tendon for a few days.... I'd really like to see how this duffalo bar feels so I can program low bar very consistent. I am fine on high bar and I have the BW ssb as well
I do alot of prehab to keep my shoulders feeling good but low bar always tweaks them... Nothing else does as long as I stay on top of my warmup
