Synephrine vs Ephedrine

According to Wikipedia.org Synephrine is an alternative to Ephedrine as it has the similar effects in regards to being a fat burner. Synephrine is legal here however Ephedrine is not, but how strong is Synephrine compared to Ephedrine?

I am about to take Animal Cuts which combines 20mg Synephrine and 200mg of Caffeine, I cant see any indication of Aspirin being included but there are other pills with it too.

ephedrine acts at your CNS (brain) and is thus stimulatory, inhibits appetite and gives you the feeling of "energy". synephrine has all the effects of ephedrine minus the effects in the brain. It can make you jittery, though.

That's not enough synephrine to have a noticable effect. It should be at least as much as is in thermolife's stizm (100 mg)

Synephrine isnt even close. Imo its just another marketing gimmick to replace something that worked, with a pretty useless substance. (Similar how they replace some prohormones that were effective with tribulus products after the ban).

is ephedrine totally illegal now? I know it's hard to find now, but am I breaking the law by having it in my possesion and consuming it?

You would have to take about 90mg Synephrine to have similar effects to 25mg of ephedrine.

No...just buy some vasopro. It's all over the internet. Ephedrine HCL in a bronchodialator form is OTC.

There are a few common misconceptions here. One, ephedrine is still perfectly legal. It's just not legal to market it for fat loss supplements.

The second is that synephrine doesn't work the same way as ephedrine. According to a review of synephrine (Obes Rev. 2006 Feb;7(1):79-88.), it activates alpha receptors while ephedrine activates beta receptors. Theoretically this could indicate a potential synergistic effect although it hasn't been researched as far as I can tell. Ephedrine is significantly stronger though.
