I used to lift for sloots but realized muscles don't matter. What matters is social domination. So I stopped lifting and started to accept myself for who I am.
So why do you lift?

Mostly for personal health honestly, because thanks to liberal media and this forum, i really have started to look negatively towards fat people because.... well they don't care about their bodies.
Lifting and EATING RIGHT is a whole other story, which i'm trying out this yearJust trying hard to not be a fat sack-o-chit.

main reason is cuz I love it, always look forward to going to gym, one of my favorite things
second most important reason is stay fit/healthy
third most important reason is I like how I look from it
one thing that always motivates me to keep doing it for life is seeing these older dudes at gym that obviously been lifting their whole life and look better/healthier at like 50+/60 years old than most ppl u see in their 30s on the street, I wanna be like that when old not fat couch potato💪🏻Team Manlet💪🏻

The reason I started lifting was for mostly girls, but then as I started lifting more and more, it felt good just being in shape, getting stronger, and breaking PRs and what not. It became something I enjoyed doing. Also, from having been a part of bb culture for so long, I'm legit disgusted by poverty physiques. I think of staying in good shape as essential as washing your face and brushing your teeth.

The very first reason i started lifting was not to lose my condition/ gain weight after leaving cycling. I wasn't able to cycle long distances without my knee bothering me, so eventually i had to give it up.
I'm a sucker for self development so it fitted me perfectly. Discipline, gaining strength/muscle , getting a little better everyday. It's like heaven on earth.
