Prices on SNES and N64 games have skyrocketed. Was lucky enough to nab a atomic green system with mario kart 64 for $20 at a yard sale.

Give it enough time and people will be shelling $60 for it no prob.

I never understood the point in buying those old systems. I mean I played them at the time, but gaming has come so far why would you ever want to go back? I mean I get nostalgia and all of that, but the graphics are so bad that the nostalgia thing has to last a couple of minutes and that's it. After that, you have to be sitting there shaking your head wondering why you wasted hundreds of dollars on something you played 20+ years ago.

Totally depends on the game for me. I've tried, and can't go back, to several action games, platformers, shooters, and fighters that I used to love. Even stuff like Symphony of the Night, which I was convinced was going to be a classic when I first played it, doesn't hold up for me. Fighters may be the worst...original Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2 are good for about two matches before it's like "what am I wasting my time on?" The SNES and PSX RPGs hold up better though, IMO, since they're more story driven. I don't get the appeal of spending a ton on old consoles though, I don't need to be holding that NES rectangle controller while I'm playing. Plus they look much better on a small screen, especially Playstation and N64 era games that were really rudimentary 3d. Final Fantasy 7 on my Vita looks okay. Final Fantasy 7 on my TV looks like a blurry pixelated version of legos.

Lol sucked for Packers yesterday. Every other team that's in the running for wildcard won as well. Granted, it's never a bad day when you absolutely spank the Seahawks.

Our last 3 games are all NFC North though, so we have a good shot still.
