Right wrist tendon tear

So I tore my tendon in my right wrist and was put in a cast for Imobilization for 6 weeks. It's better and it doesn't hurt if I don't really move it around too much. If I try to lift any weights it starts to hurt. I've been out of the gym about 8 weeks now and am so frustrated because I don't know what to do. I can't do bench presses or anything weight bearing on my wrist because of it. I mean I can do cardio, but I want to weightlift. Any suggestions what I can do? Anyone else have a similar injury? The tendon tear is on the outside of the wrist by the pisiform is what doc said. Im going crazy because I've also gained fat because I'm not working out like I used to and honestly I'm pretty down about it. Any thoughts and suggestions would help me greatly.
