I am debating btw ACSM, NCSF and NFPT! For my certification.
Cost is defiantly a factor for me but I also want something all gyms will accept.
I am planning to apply for higher end gyms such as Equniox or private gyms.
I am also wondering if I get one of these certifications. Can I do extra certifications, through ANY company or just the specific one I am certified for. For example i would want to get a youth certification but ACSM doesn't have one!

Personal Training Cert Which One

The fact that you choose the cert and the cert program doesn't choose you (e.g. being accepted into college) is why it won't really matter. Everyone knows you paid, took a weekend exam and passed. No one is impressed with this accomplishment. Just pick the one you feel best represents you and only you know that.
To succeed at doing what you love, you often must do many things you hate.

It's probably just the fact that they are the two he has. Personally I wouldn't go for either ISSA or NASM. Any certifying company that offers a "master certification" in Personal Training is a joke! No credibility what so ever, they just sucking people into paying extra money for other useless certs.

ACSM would be the more advanced certification, and also provides the option of subscribing to the research journals, Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise and Exercise and Sport Sciences Reviews.
Also... Any certification that isn't NCCA accredited is pretty much a CEU; they don't increase your scope of practice. Take them to learn, not for the piece of paper that says you completed the course.NSCA-CPT | S&C Coach @ American Top Team West Pines and Fight Fit USA
