    20180705 w 63 bench#2

I have been training consistently. 1 week off 6/28-7/3 due to traveling for work. July/August will be hard also - 7/20-7/24, 7/30-8-3 and 8/23-8/30 will all be traveling. Not set in stone yet - but September and October will have some required traveling. All energy will be focused on maintaining/being consistent.

So, this is the most recent session.

Nice work on bench. Travel can make things tricky. Consistency is a great focus and you can keep pushing while finding work arounds for the times when you can't make it to the gym.

Traveling makes it almost impossible to be consistent. On top of finding the time and a gym you also have to pack all your lifting stuff.

I agree with you! My goal starting out this summer was three weeks of training every month, and then the week traveling is time off or if I can manage to get to a gym - dumbbell work. All of my travel is for work, which has been pretty jammed pack with seminars/meetings. Not to mention, not having a car, so I'm mostly limited to the hotel gym. I doubt that training on these trips is a real possibility.

Ugh, trying to fit lifting belt in is the worse. And I would refuse to leave my knee sleeves behind. Not exactly work cloths-friendly suitcase companions.

I saw the video of you deadlifting 5 plates or soemthing ridiculous. The other lifters and trainers must have loved that. Hopefully you didn't have to walk the whole gym looking for plates. and clips are never found in chain gyms!

I had been hoping that the 225 would move a little easier than they did. That was a little disappointing, last set at 225 was RPE10. Everything else went fine, although I was tired by the end and didn't do very much assistant work.

IMO about the same, but I'm not failing lifts and throwing a tantrum anymore . < Just a description for how it feels in my head - not that anybody in the gym realizes anything is wrong. Some numbers are just too heavy (eg. front squat in w 63, 64 and 65 had to be adjusted, deadlift in w65 I misloaded and adjusted.) I'm not going to stress over it now - lifting is my hobby and trying to force a certain schedule/exact numbers wouldn't work. ATM, I just tell Wade how the session went and he works with it. :| He added in a lot of volume which has been great for my confidence and just doing the work, without thinking about additional sets.

Thanks for checking in all. It really means a lot.

I have been training - but mostly traveling. I wasn't home much in August and I won't be home much in October. It's maintenance mode right now. Really just trying to keep mobility and some training going. Training while traveling hasn't been an option.

I'm not active on social media. I've thought about doing instagram - but just haven't been able to make an effort yet.

I am lurking and will make an effort to respond. Seeing the team's workouts keeps me motivated and interested - so it helps.

If you're one of the few who has managed not to get involved with instagram, I'm envious and wish I also were in the same boat. It's fun at first, but my addicting personality gets the best of me and Instagram is terrible for mental health. Something to keep in mind although many use it as a great tool I believe people would be much happier without it...
Everybody one day will die and be forgetton. Act and behave in a way that will make life interesting and fun; not a mundane predictable life working monday-friday without deriving pleasure; just living life out till you grow old and wither away. Find a passion, form relationships, don't be afraid to get out there and forget everyone else. Trust me it's more fun that way - Zyzz

I have an instagram account, but mostly for checking in on others' training. I have twitter for my career and need to get more involved there, I want that to be more of my energy online.

    Press workout #2 today

    bench all paused
    bar, 95xsome
    110x5
    120x3
    125x1x2 RPE 8, 2 reps in tank

    close grip3x6
    105
    95x14

    Assistance:
    lats, traps, rear delts, curls
    tri set

Bench workout today. Pretty easy as it's week 1 in a cycle with Wade.

Eating and nutrition has been pretty good. I'm at 140 now and hopefully will get up to 145 by January. I start traveling again next week, so it might be easier said than done.
