    Question about progressive overload

Im trying to get 8 reps for 4 sets when doing bench. So today i had 8/8/7/4 for reps per set. So every chest workout should i keep doing the same weight till i hit 8 reps for 4 sets. And if i eventuall do should i increase the reps or more weight?
