I was just talking to a buddy about this the other day. I feel this is a good time for Phil to create a legacy. I dont see anyone coming up that can take him down. Remember, the judges want someone better than the current champ to overtake him. If a competitor is equal, they will give it to the current. Again, no one is up and coming that will overpower the Gift for a few years. I see him with at least 8; barring no injuries (I hope I didn't just jinx him...)

He will win 10.
Do you guys realise Phil Heath is a more dominant Mr Olympia than Ronnie Coleman? (Note for the slow: this is different to saying Phil is a better bodybuilder or that he'd beat Ronnie in a contest).
Across eight Mr Olympia wins, Ronnie lost 26 points to Jay, Levrone, and Flex (and Gustavo too, if you count the challenge round.). He only has four straight-1 victories to his name: 2004, 2003, 2000, and 1999.
Across five Mr Olympia wins, Phil has lost ONE POINT, to Dexter Jackson in 2015. And he has five straight-1 victories.
I'm not a Phil ballwasher. I honestly think he sucks as a person and that Kai should have won in 2012 and 2014. And to be fair to Ronnie, in the past there were more rounds (so more opportunities to lose points). But it's no exaggeration to say that Phil is more dominant in his era than Ronnie was in his. We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

There is one MAJOR assumption with your analysis. That assumption is that the Olympia is and has been correctly judged. It is clear the show has not been judged well or correctly for years. Heath 2014 should have been out of the top 6 and could easily have placed out of the top 10 that year. Heath has been beaten in every pose every year by other athletes. This was not the case in Ronnies era.

That's what I've been saying for years, and people on this forum laugh at me. ON THE SCORECARDS, Phix is far and away the most dominant bodybuilder in the history of the sport. Meaning, he's beaten his competition more convincingly than any other bodybuilder, including Ronnie. Phix is the Floyd Mayweather of bodybuilding. He doesn't lose.

He may pull a Dexter Jackson and keep on going and going and going and going and going and going and going. He may attain a number that will literally, not figuratively bring tears to his naysayers eyes.
Imagine grown men crying at their keyboards as Bob Chiceridillo once again truimphantly proclaims "Phil, The Gift, Heath!!!"Spike92 is 15.
^ place this in your sig to remind the world that Spike92 is indeed 15 and will never be anything other than 15.

Ain't losing anytime soon. I'll put it this way, Ramy could come in 60lbs heavier at negative body fat levels but Phil will still win because...he's got a more "3D" lower back.

Non of the top guys are improving outside of Ramy, and it will be a little while before he ever catches him.... I could see 1 or 2 more before Ramy and the rest of the new guys really make a big push to beat Phil. This is assuming Kai doesn't compete again and brings a package to beat him before that.

Phil's "dominance" is a byproduct of how judging and scoring works now. He may have the best overall package but he loses poses to people, its just not the same person for every pose. He gets pushed and even edged out in most poses. A dominate champ would not be edged out in the way he is.
With that said, overall, no one really is close right now, but I wouldn't call him the most dominate Mr. O ever.Last edited by Exane; 09-30-2016 at 12:40 PM.

I thought Phil would never get to raise his other hand when counting Olympia wins, I am satisfied that he got to tie Dorian yates record, and perhaps I will cede Heath another sandow.. but please no, no , no , no god no do not let Heath tie Ronnie's record. Ronnie was on another level than Heath ever will be, it is unfathomable IMO that this can happen, judging by the meteoric rise some bodybuilders have shown, I do doubt Heaths ability to hold off the challengers for 2 more years.
Smarten up? NO! SPARTAN UP!
