While it's respectable that he went ahead and did the show anyway, it would have saved a lot of embarrassment to just state at the time that he was injured and possibly won't be looking his best. Instead of going on about how he's going to be in the first call out and will show the new breed how it's done 90's style, etc.
It is with people like you that this sport will never grow. "When you say, everything and anything to be pro, do you mean even to turn HOMO?...

sounds to me like a contract to show up to the olympia that he didn't/couldn't break and he did what he could to show up as good as he could. With Kai dropping out the previous year and continuing to be a no show this year they needed something to create hype. He can say what he wants about feeling like this was the time and something was calling him to it but to me he was offered huge cash and begged to compete at the olympia.

Injuries or no injuries, there is still no excuse for the way his conditioning was. He looked like a bar of soap from the back. And his front just looks really tired, you can really tell the no matter what he does, he won't have the same look. No point in him having another go at this unless he really wants to kill himself, I think he's already taken a few years off his life with this show.

So that 405x8 video was on a recently torn pec?
Absolute madman! We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

Heart of a Warrior
If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. - Bruce Lee
