He looked a lot better on Saturday, overall impressed with what he brought. Legs downsized but still great flow and aesthetics.
Side chest and Most Muscular are beautiful.
Finals Vid:
No matter what anyone says, seeing him in the finals walk on stage to that song this year and hearing the crowd go crazy, especially during his signature pose, is truly awesome.

He looks good in some of these pics no doubt, however I hated his routine. His 2002 Mr.O posing with the same song was much better, he appeared somewhat insecure and his posing was uninspired, didn't flow with the song at all. I know his body isn't up to par but he should have still done a nice routine like this for the fans (don't they judge posing anyways or does that only apply for the AC?).
^Awesome transistions there.

i agree, i was hoping he would do the same exact transitions/routine. i heard that he winged it every time and didn't practice a posing routine, idk if thats true.
at least he did the 2002 mr o routine which was my fav of his and is what i did my routine on too in my first showFull Blown Baby

No idea if he was winging it but it's not out of the question. I do the same when playing guitar, I just improvise the solos instead of rehashing them even when soloing over a song I never heard before. I can easily imagine a natural bodybuilder like him beeing able to come up with nice routines on the fly. No yesterday though, he wasn't feeling it.
Nice to hear you did his routine , great hommage. Hope you scored well.

I didn't like his posing. He just looked out of it and unpracticed. Particularly how he puts one hand in front of the other in the MM - he looks unbalanced and asymmetrical in his best pose.

^ Nice shot!
If it wasn't for that leg injury he might have gotten somewhere ("somewhere" being 9th or 10th, to be exact). We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

u see, this is the sort of thing I have a problem with..
he trained about the same amount of time he always trained, 10 weeks give or take. Dorian trained all year, every year. I'm sure its good for longevity and overall health, but to say well, he would have been better if he had more time..
That was his choice. What are you telling me, he was too busy with his acting/music/whatever career??2023 bertie awards 2024 nominations

Levrone has spoken about this before. He said that during his Olympia prep (back in his heyday), his diet and training regime was so regimented, so strict and so intense that it would have been IMPOSSIBLE do it all year round. Nobody could maintain that kind of focus and intensity all year round. And he doesn't like to do anything half-assed. He'd rather take the time off to relax and rejuvenate his mind and body, and then go BALLS TO THE WALL during his Olympia prep.

No one trained as intense as Dorian Yates did. Not even Levrone...
"That would be physical impossible.."..
Imho Kevin took it easy and then when the preparation began he started training more seriously and used enormeous amounts of "supps" to grow into the show, as many called it...
He caused a hype, many beleaved it and now the bubble has burst..
Many dissappointed , but Kevin got his money..

This^
Everyone has different triggers or habits they use to get themselves into the mindset or "into the zone" they need to be to be competitive and focused on their goals. I'm similar to Kevin in the sense that I bulk/prep for a show and it's 100% my priority and focus, and when I'm done I take time, elt my body rest, enjoy other things that I like. It's a different mindset, like pulling a switch. Hard to explain but yea not everyone is the same in this way.

Kevin's side chest will always look great. I think it was his best pose this past weekend. Pretty good for 52 years old.

That's implying all the other competitors half ass it year-round. Maybe levrone couldn't handle Dorian's regimen year round. Or levrone is saying his prep is that much harder than dorians(and others) that its only possible for a few months. If that's true, then it's still worse than half assing it like Dorian because Dorian kept winning on that half assed prep. The only thing arguable is mentality because I doubt any of the other top 6 didn't diet as hard or train as hard as him. So levrone got in such an intense mental state that he could only endure it for a few months.
All this talk about his mentality being so intense. Sounds like he just had anxiety/stress/nerves like any other person going into a show but it got to him more than normal people
Anyways, he still looked incredible for not prepping year-round. I doubt many others can pull that offMS, Computer Science

you realize this is all speculation right?
levrone trained/prepped only a portion of the year. fact
most other competitors trained year/round and prepped year/round. fact
You say levrone said what he did was "IMPOSSIBLE [to] do ...all year round. Nobody could maintain that kind of focus and intensity all year round." speculation on levrone's part assuming he said that.
My analysis on levrone saying that is equal speculation. I don't believe that he trained harder than anybody else in the top 6. I don't believe that he dieted harder than anybody else. He just said he did.
I call bull****. I also call bull**** that flex wheeler was attacked by ninjas. but I don't know what i'm talking about so that probably is true as well, just because flex wheeler said so. It's likely that levrone enjoyed live outside of bodybuilding and that's fine.
Last reply on the topic since you're bias is staggering. levrone won the O this year with his 90s era conditioning and phix should have been 16th woo.Last edited by bartosh; 09-20-2016 at 06:22 PM.

His back, legs, and side laterals, and upper chest; if he can increase their size and density by 50%, actually dial in his Abs, and come in better skin and color, he might be a top 10 guy
