When you pour water in an aero, it starts to run out. Instead, turn it upside down, and pour water in the bottom, stir, let steep, screw filter bottom on, flip and press. It's a gazillion times better.



Why are American slings all derpy? Metal on metal attachments, screwy stock attachment on bottom of stock so your rifle flips upside down, etc. Why?

Got my areopress. Never used one, and now have made quite a few cups.

I do like it, but damn... pin is right about the size. After I made my first cup, I was like, "The hell? I'm going to have to run this 4 times just for my regular amount of morning brew."

I followed the instructions first to get a base line taste, and the water was leaking out like a sieve. I tried anyway, and yup, super weak coffee, more like brownish water.

Did the inverse method, and really, between night and day.

As far as taste between french and aero, I'd have to say it's a lot more mild. Of course, I steep in a french press about 2.5 to 3 minutes. Rarely do I go over 3.5 minutes.

In the aero press, I do like 30 seconds. I don't know if I should steep longer or not. I'll play with steep times.

Anyone have a recommendation?

I also like the clean-up much more with an aero vs french press.

This reminds me of some friends I had. The woman was a ridiculously hot natural redhead, and was loaded rich with family money. I was obsessed with her. Her husband was a dipsh!t drooling buffoon. I got her kid out of a typically usurious karate school contract and she was very grateful. I'm doing about three minutes or so with the inverted method. I double scoop the coffee, heat up 2 cups of water, fill the Aero, then pour the rest of my hot water into the mug. It's working out pretty well for me.
