Imagine getting beat up in front of your friends, family, and ESPECIALLY kid? Can you imagine being physically knocked out? When the kids are young you can explain to them about avoiding confrontations and what not, but you can't explain to your kid how daddy got KTFO, you know what I mean?

I would never make my kid apologize for something he didn't do. I would also always emphasize safety first, and deescalate all situations. But in the case where the other party decides to escalate and get to physical violence, I would show my kid how to take someone down like a dog, and make sure they can't get back up to retaliate.

As someone who got bullied because he got brought up by parents who believed in no escalation, always apologise, never hit back etc, I don't think "being the bigger man" is such a great thing for a child when he is clearly not in the wrong. It is a hard dilemma. You don't want to bring up a psychopath but you really don't want to bring up a child to not defend themselves either.

I just cannot deal with strangers telling me to do anything. Especially some other parents, who are usually insufferable imo. And they're usually wrong any way.

I've told 4 different people to fuk off, spit on a bus driver, and recently "threatened" a school teacher at my kid's school (saying "I should slap you" is a threat apparently). I'm highly ashamed of these things, and my daughter is totally ashamed of me.

Can't help it, for some reason I just go totally insane when strangers get even a little jiggy with me. It's a problem and I'm really scared its gonna get out of control.

I told a small asian woman on the train last Friday 'I'll Fkkn knock your head off..." I actually think that was my lowest point.

If I ever get into a confrontation in public with my girlfriend I ca't handle it like I normally would because my gf will say I'm being immature and such and that I need to be an adult. Guess the best thing to do if you're with a child or wife is just to say it's your lucky day m8 and then walk off with a subtle shoulder bump.

Edit: Also this is just if it isn't some 6'6 monster then it's best just to avoid any conflict in any situation so as not to embarrass yourself in a fight you can't win and risk your physical safety. Plus if you lose a fight infront of your wife/child they'll never be able to look at you the same again.

I went out to an amusement park with 3 girls 2 of their male friends and a younger relative of the girls. I consider myself a very passive and meek person, which sadly attracts the worst personalities. We were cool for most of the day until we somehow got on the subject of feminism on which i tactfully expressed my opinion. I was about to tell her to relax and take it easy because i hate attention in public and i wanted to placate her, until her other female friend cut me off by the time i got to the 3rd word and says in a stern tone "dude just shut up she doesn't want to listen." My day was literally ruined. The idiot girls were distracting the other guys as an attempt to isolate me and i was mutely following them the whole day. Throughout the whole ****ing day they would yell at me at the top of their lungs, like if i went to grab food, they screamed come back hear, don't leave your sister. or "where the **** are you going" They said that while i was in line while hurling other vicious insults so to avoid it i obliged. When id say something completely innocuous like "where is this ride," she would LASH OUT and say "omg shut up or dude stop" as i i were insultng her. And because her fukcing white night friends weren't paying attention they opted to take her side.
