I test my sugar all the time with GDAs.. glucometers are like $20 at walmart lol.. why not have one. All I will say is, the cheap formulas seem to produce far better results than these expensive complex formulas that have buttloads of gda ingredients. I wont name brands but it is pretty shocking. My suggestion is buy one yourself before investing in $30 gdas. You'll be very surprised, at least I was with how my body responds to it. I usually test my sugar,
-Right before taking my gda
-30 mins later, right before my first bite
-1 hour post meal
-2 hour post meal
Agmatine at 1g does work for me at least.. I will say that. I use the I-Force brand for obvious reasons.

Berberine is interesting, as it appears to be as potent as some pharmaceuticals. Research (for obvious reasons) tends to be in individuals with diabetes or some type of metabolic syndrome.
A lot of its actions are due to its impact on AMPk. I'd like to see literature on how this impacts healthy individuals

I mean, if you have the extra cash, throwing it in pre-workouts will just give you a pump and not help performance so if that is what you wanna do that's cool.
On the other hand, taking it split between am/pm carb meals, I feel like the effects are so miniscule with nutrient partitioning that it's not worth the trouble to time it before meals and worry about that. Plus, it tastes terrible raw powder form so you need to mix it.
That is just my 2 cents.

lol, yep. dinoiii was one of the first people, from what I remember, to speak at lengths about Agmatine
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/jrod17.htm
One of the interesting points was Agmatine as a nootropic. I was trying to include this in my write up, however I wasn't confident that it was much of one

I have a screwy schedule, but during the week I wake around noon. I eat my first meal around 2pm which is when I do testing. I do not drink anything other than water in that window of waking and eating, but that is typical for me. The meal I eat before bed anyways is always 100% consistent of 2 scoops isolate, 1tbsp mct oil, 1 cup liquid egg, 4oz chicken, 7 days of the week so that isnt a variable.
Something I have found, the more expensive, the more complex a gda is, the worse it works. The more basic formulas with less ingredients work far superior for my body at least. Slintensity by evomuse tested very well, as did anabolic pump. Some of the popular complex ones did shiat for me at least. Bitter Melon Extract does well also.
