SPeaking as someone with two deaf parents, who works in the deaf community and has lots of deaf relatives, this guy was an idiot. How are you gonna not stop and pull over when you see the lights of two cars following you for six miles? I don't know if he deserved to get shot, but even deaf people should know you don't just get out after being followed like that and "confront" the cops - IF that is indeed what happened.

Side note, my dad used to carry a card and when he got pulled over he would show it to the cops. It simply said something like "I am deaf and will not communicate until there is an interpreter present". Idk how many deafies carry something like this but it's a good idea.

Not excusing the cops on this one since I haven't seen the video but even deafies know there's a protocol when dealing with police and it starts with pulling the fuk over when the lights go on. Just lmao

And why out of all the deaf people I know or my family knows, I've never heard of any of them getting shot or even having negative interactions with the police in general? How do you know he confronted them 'threateningly'? He was a small little scrote of a man. The witnesses say he was trying to use sign language. Anyone with any training should be able to restrain a small weak man without trouble, if they even needed to do so.
