    A question for runners...

So when I initially started getting back into shape for my cardio routine I only did power walking on the treadmill as I was obese . Now that I'm passed that stage of my life I've started picking up jogging again and it's been a little bit of an adjustment. I know I'm using different muscles in my legs, but it feels like as soon as I start jogging my energy is immediately sapped. I believe I just need to build up my stamina and get my breathing patterns down, but I could be wrong. You would think your stamina would be universal right?

    Any Ideas, insight, or recommendations?

Seriously, the youtube clip below is me, and I can go, 4 or 5 miles on the treadmill power-walking at the same pace (if not faster) than I was doing the slow jog!
