Ok so there's this girl that i know who isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. In fact, she's actually pretty dumb. She's trashy and always hung out with losers in high school like the type of kids that would smoke weed, drink, and party all the time.
Well now she's an escort (prostitute) and she parties a lot. She uses the money she gets from escorting to pay for her college because she wants to become a pediatrician. I actually have a hard time seeing her doing ALL that homework, not to mention the 4 years of university followed by 8 years of medical school. I mean she seems really motivated, but she's not smart at all. She's street smart, but not book smart. I just couldn't see her being a doctor because most of them were pretty big nerds in high school.
It got me thinking, can you really become ANYTHING you want, even if you're dumb? Do you think this girl has no idea what she's really getting herself into? Her reason for wanting to become a pediatrician is necause she loves working with kids, but i would think you would also need a pretty big interest in science.

No. if there's anything millenials should have learned by now, it's that you CANNOT do or be anything you want to be. People are born with different skillsets and abilities, and those are not adabtable to every profession. Some people are born to be doctors, some are meant to be musicians, and some are meant to be plumbers. The world needs people who can do all those things, not just the STEM careers of the world

Idiots stick out like a sore thumb in the medical world and get ruled out immediately.
They will eventually piss off the doctor for mistakes or get rekt by their medical board. Srs.

I work with a PHD Engineer and he's a complete fking moron. He's good at math, but other than that he's a fuking idiot.
For most people, its not hard to get a PHD when going to school is their only responsibility. There is a direct connection with parents paying for car/insurance/phone/food/apartment/clothes/bills/spending money, and higher education. If you have to the basic discipline to just show up to class and do your homework, you have like a 30 hour week at maximum, yet live like you work full time, yet you do not work at all.
I've spent a lot of time in the hospital and I can tell you that there are plenty of doctors that are morons, as well as RNs.
Remember, 90% of success is just showing up, especially in this liberal dominated country. You can be a fuking retard and do anything you want, just show up.Trump 2020

I don't know, man. You would really surprised what people can actually do and who they actually are. I know one chick that is/was the definition of an airhead. She went to school and now works as some kind of government liaison in DC. Another girl I know was one of the biggest party girl sloots I have ever met yet just graduated from one of the top law schools in the country. Who would have guessed?
Forget all that and lets get down to brass tacks. What does this chick looks like?

That is true, but it is telling about their fear of life and death, which branches out into other areas of their life as well. Making decisions based on what you think God thinks is idiotic and not emotionally healthy. Doesn't mean you can't memorize facts and patterns to get a paycheck.

Not even remotely close. Most people who say "it's all memorization" wouldn't be able to pass a single test in med school if their life depended on it (srs).
Here's the basic proof = 1st year bio classes have very low class averages. If people who are of average to above average intelligence can barely pass something as easy as 1st year biology or 1st year calculus, how would they even have a shot ever at medicine?Licensed Medical Doctor

Some people slip through the cracks and are able to fool the system into getting a degree. Have a couple still like this in my engineering classes who have made it by literally just cheating in every class but generally speaking, no not everybody can be whatever they want to be. You still have to be somewhat smart to get by and I'm assuming med school is the same way. I remember a lot of people switching out of engineering at least freshman year bc they couldn't pass basic classes like cal 1 or an intro engineering class.

no lol.
in aus, the UMAT filters out the non-gifted students. hard to study for, it's not like memorising crap from a textbook. it basically filters out the book-smart boyos, which in turn means that it filters out the genetically inferior.
if you guys didnt realise, intelligence (measured in IQ) is actually a more inheritable trait than most athletic traits (100% dead srs).
this "try hard enough and you can achieve anything" bullchit needs to stop. it gets people all hyped up and motivated but only rewards a fraction of them with the promised result, many are simply in a position where its realistically impossible to achieve the desired goal.

There are a lot of different kinds/aspects of intelligence.
I used to live with a guy who was in charge of something or another dealing with maintaining nuclear missiles on a submarine.
The guy was literally one of the the biggest dumb asses I've ever met in my life (though I haven't lived with a lot of people, so many people could be much dumber).
He was something like 3rd or 4th in command of a ****ing nuclear submarine.
Example: The guy opens a cabinet and was leaning on the cabinet door and broke it off the hinges then tells me "man I wasn't even leaning on the cabinet that hard" (as if cabinet doors were meant to lean on).
The position required lots of memorization. The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.
That's why grandma's apple pie rocks and yours sucks.

Not sure if you're serious? Dermatologists are usually the smarter ones. That specialty is filled with people who said "Fuk, this field pays the most with doing the least amount of work/hours..." AKA people are competing hard to get in. I am pretty sure they have some of the higher scores in relation to other specialties.

Each of one them could run laps around you, but you wouldn't know that because the only time you associate with them is when you're reporting to them. You can't even fathom the amount of responsibility they have because no one has ever burdened you with a meaningful task.Physics crew
