I'm sorry, but I fcuking hate the Yankees. Their a goddamn atrocity to the game with their RIDICULOUS payroll. That being said, I can understand liking them if you are from the area or have "inherited" an affection for them from your dad, etc. But there's nothing I hate worse than bandwagon Yankees fans than perhaps the current organization in general.

my answer is.....damn how long are yall going to live in the past??
why not just stop having a new season and declare the yanks winners
oh yea....and i cant remember the last time the yanks won and they still pay out more than 50 mill more than the next team
thats like me still saying....celtics champions x 16
im only here cuz yankees fans were all over the boston thread
truthfully tho....without each other...we probably wouldnt be as passionate about the game as we both are...be thankful you have the other side to hate
i do☆$★♠☆ BiG-BaLLiN ☆♠★$☆

of all teams, boston has no room to complain about the yankees spending money. Let's also not forget about 20M of that Yankees payroll is invested into Derek Jeter whom is highly overpaid. Giambi also makes over 20M. Mussina made 18M last year. They reward star players. Jorge Posada is still one of the best catchers in the league, but he too is overpaid at 12M.....Rivera is paid extremely well. Lots of the Yankees highest paid players are homegrown talent whom they didn't have to pay as much as they did to keep them. Bernie Williams made something like 18M last year to ride the bench. Derek Jeter would've stayed in New York regardless of his contract, he didn't demand 19M a year but that's what George gave him. The payroll argument is overrated. Sure they went out big for Giambi, and Damon and a handful of others, but a lot of it is just rewarding players they already have.
On a side note, Jason Giambi just hit a ball 400+ ft to the opposite field of tim hudson. He's been crushing the ball to the opposite field a lot in the spring which is a great sign

actually i think jeter deserves that 20M even as a red sox fan
he plays great defense....always hits for average
and best of all he is clutch
thats worth 20M
he's saved the yankees ass plenty of times single handedly...that bastard
and yes the sox are turnin into the yanks abit but the difference in payrolls is the actual payroll of like 10 teams
and there is no doubt giambi is still using illegal substances like hgh which cant be detected...look at the guy is is huge again and always greasy☆$★♠☆ BiG-BaLLiN ☆♠★$☆

idunno...
something like matsuzaka....beckett, schilling, wakefield, papelbon, maybe pineiro...
im more worried about the closer
and rivera said he'd play for any team except the sox....bastard...i wish johnny damon had felt the same way☆$★♠☆ BiG-BaLLiN ☆♠★$☆

Schilling
Beckett
Matsuzaka
Wakefield
Papelbon
is how it looks to me, maybe not in that order. Joel Pineiro is the closer to start things off.
I think the Red Sox still have Clement, Jon Lester is coming back too. If i was the Red Sox i'd think about using Wakefield in the closer role if they refuse to put Papelbon back....

and that pitcher in the minors hughes is supposed to be a beast
i hate how the yanks can buy anyone and still have some crazy talent come up from the minors like jeter and cano☆$★♠☆ BiG-BaLLiN ☆♠★$☆

yankees beat the braves! in a meaningless game. I only watched the first 4 or 5 innings. Mussina pitched well and Giambi hit that bomb.
