I have been falling asleep to a documentary about the moon lately. I watch it over and over never manage to stay awake, might be my favorite "sleep" show ever. Anyway interesting stuff.
The moon is actually hollow (or at least has a lot of voids inside of it) when they crashed an orbiter into it, it gonged like a bell for hours.
The moon appears to be much older than the earth based on some studies of the moon rock and dust...
It is statistically impossible for the moon to be where it is and have the orbit that it does, if it were captured by the earths gravity it should have an elliptical orbit like every other moon in the solar system, and for some reason according to physicists a hollow object cannot be a natural satellite (that one is lost on me, not sure why not).
The moon Does not have any geologic activity yet the astronauts picked up huge amounts of heat and radiation coming from the moon. Clouds of what appear to be water vapor or steam have been observed erupting out of some of the craters...
Anyway I keep falling asleep to this crazy azz show about the moon. I think the documentary writers theory is leaning towards the moon being brought to and positioned in its current orbit by "aliens" so yea, I'm not sure how much of the above points are based on fact
Its a very relaxing show though and puts me to sleep in about 15 minutes every time I put it on

From what I've seen/read over recent years I don't believe that is true at this moment:

The above hypothesis sounds not only quite plausible but also very logical.
There's many other references to this concept on google but I picked the one with the visuals for this response.
I'm no scientific genius and I'm not taking issue with your views.
I just thought I'd throw this out and hopefully you won't fall into a sleepy reverie.

Yea not my "theory". I like the moon and alll, but I dont really have a theory on its origin at all...Its there though and it was bright AF this morning
Thats what I learned in science class too, that it (the moon) is the debris which came together from an earth collision. This documentary had a few science sounding reasons why that was not possible. Different molecular signatures blah blah blah... I would explain it in greater detail, but I cannot make it through more than about 20 minutes before I fall asleep. I think its called "secrets of the Moon"? on Amazon prime....If you ever have trouble getting to sleep give it a try

The Moon is approximately 240,000 miles from Earth. It moves away from the Earth about 2 inches per year. So, about 65,000,000 years ago, right before the dinosaurs were killed off, the Moon was approximately 2051 miles closer to the Earth than it is now.

I have long said to never trust a doctor that didn't remember watching the moon landing... I've had to abandon that cut score... they're all retiring.
The moon most likely formed when another planet crashed into the earth and nearly destroyed us. The debris left over in orbit of the two now joined planets became the moon.
Not my theory but the one that makes the most sense imho. (Much more than the moon being an alien spaceship of some form anyways.)
This most likely is the best explanation:
Though maybe it was this....

Wait some of you don't think the moon is a giant spaceship where aliens hang out to watch us? The science books are just a conspiracy that were most likely written by the moon aliens (moonliens?)
Where's Norwichgrad been. I need some back-up here.
The show is called:
Alien Origins: UFOs on The Moon on Amazon prime. BTW. .
If you can make it through the 57 you might learn the truth about the moon. Pretty sure nobody has yet though. It's better than melatonin, even though it sounds somewhat interesting it just puts me to sleep.
It does suggest some interesting stuff why those theories may not be accurate though.Last edited by Plateauplower; 07-20-2016 at 05:04 PM.
