Had Gynecomastia Surgery 10 days ago on June 27th in Austin, Texas at the Austin Gynecomastia Center by Dr. Robert Caridi. Dr. Caridi performed liposuction and gland excision and it took all of 45 minutes.
I developed gynecomastia when I was 12 years old (6th grade) and struggled to get rid of it all through my adolescent years. I am now 23 years old and couldn't be happier that I decided to get this resolved through surgery. Before surgery I tried everything.... bulking to mask it, cutting to make it disappear, pills, gels, etc and NOTHING worked.
The past 10 days have been quite a journey but everything went really well and I am more than pleased with the results! Check out some pics...
Pre surgery pics are to give an idea of my condition and BF% and post surgery pics to show results.
-Gland that was removed is shown under the "Extraction" photo.
-About 10-11% BF in the 48 hours pre-surgery picture (typically walk around at 8-9% and gyno was much more noticeable at lower BF%)
-Final results take about 6-12 months.
-The redness in the post pics on my chest is from being allergic to the dressing used to soak up drainage.

What the doctors say about all this beforehand? Did they try to steer you away from it at all? I agree that it didn't look that bad at all. For the money, pain, etc. I don't think I would have proceeded, but I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

I went to a couple different people.. One guy didn't know wtf he was talking about and said it was impossible to fix. If you have never had gyno you won't understand, it's a weird psychological deal. I'll tell you it was definitely money well spent in my book and definitely encourage anyone who struggles with it to bite the bullet and get it done!
