Chased a Squirtle for 30 minutes and it dipped at 1 step. Egg hatched in the process and it was a 480 Squirtle. also caught a 980 Venomoth while looking for the bastard.

Venomoth has Confusion and Poison Fang, should I juice this guy up or is there a more optimal power set?

If there are any Aggie brahs on this pay attention. The there must be 50 pokestops on campus. You can sit in the Chicken (bar) and be under 3 lures. Had this been out when I was a student I really think I'd have a 2kcp pokemon by now and a hell of a bar tab.

Highest Eevee I have is a 450. I'm waiting until I catch a 600+ Eevee before I evolve though.

Have Flareon and Vaporeon, so I guess I'm naming my Eevee Sparky

Vaporeon is apparently the strongest. I still think Jolteon is the baddest one though

Got a question concerning evolution and CP cap based on my trainer level..


So basically I got the App a day ago and ATM my trainer lvl is only 7. My Pidgeotto is at 256 CP and I can't increase it's lvl anymore as I get a msg saying my trainer lvl is too low. With that said I have more than enough candies to evolve it into a Pidgeot but before I do that I want to make sure I can maximize the levels I get out of it's evolution.

So my question is will I run into some form of lvl cap if I try evolving my Pidgeotto right now? Is it better to wait to evolve him until I get a higher trainer lvl?

cp is universal for the pokemon so if you max out the cp all the way at the pidgey stage it won't reset when you evolve it. It's best just to get a naturally high CP pokemon that is almost capped in its CP, evolve it and then max out its cp because it gains more cp per power up than at its previous stage.

Example: Eevee gains ~25 cp per powerup

Jolteon gain ~35-45 cp per powerup

My suggestion is to just focus on leveling and not waste candies or stardust doing three stage evolutions until you hit somewhere between 15-20 where you can maximize your finds because you will end up finding second and third stage evolutions by just walking around.

theres a gym near my workplace that has 2 high level hypnos and one pidgeotto
i know ghastly can take out psychic as phsycic powers dont work against them. what about to counter pidgeot?
and how the fuk du pick ur 2 pokemons when battling and the backup one as well

I leveled up from 16 to 17 quick today... Went to a gym not far from the house that was a blue team level 9 gym with only 3 Pokemon and singlehandedly took it over with nothing but a vaporeon... CP close to 1200
