Do you realize he wasn't cooperating? He wasn't putting his hands up, for all they knew he could have been holding the gun (did you see how small it was?).

Officers' guns are holstered and buttoned in, if this dude was holding the gun he easily would have gotten the first shots off, would you risk losing your life and ruining your family's for someone with that track record? Or would you try to get him to the ground ASAP when you realized he wasn't going to comply?

Ive said this many times in all sorts of police related threads. The entire criminal justice system, from the police to the courts to the prisons themselves is just one big business and each piece is as corrupt as the next. Everything is about making money either through extorting funds through tickets for the most trivial shyt up through incarcerating people by the tens of thousands for minor drug offenses in order to keep up prison contracts, etc.

Cops simply are used as the muscle and sadly there is such little training, continued education, etc for such a high powered job that things like are so common. The everyday infringement on rights is not even looked at as wrong anymore. Any offense, for any reason, goes to court and you are assumed guilty based simply on an officers word, with no evidence whatsoever.

IF you claim to be a true conservative and are against government interfering in the rights of citizens, then overhauling the policing system should be your number one priority because they are the hands of the government that do what they want with little recourse.
