Probably took in another 1000 today after all was said and done.

so basically it was a two day carb fest?

Less than 24 hours actually. I didn't eat any carbs until 4 PM Saturday night and then cut myself off by noon on Sunday. But still, ended up having too many either way.

I think this is going to be my last week of only shakes.

I still plan on running this PSMF at lest another four weeks but I think beginning next week, I'm going to start adding in a solid meal per day again like chicken, egg whites, tuna, etc.

Worst thing is going from all liquid diet then trying to resume eating normal again, it just doesn't happen.

I also don't have enough protein powder to run all liquid for another five weeks and I don't want to buy anymore.

Either way, I think this is my best move to finish this cut successfully.

I was wondering about the cost of running that diet 8 weeks straight...

Most 2-lbs powders give about 25/30 serving
5 lbs give more...But still doesn't go far when you are drinking 5 or more a day...

    Them tubs don't last long....

Up a couple pounds but after ingesting somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000+ grams of carbs this weekend, can't say I'm unhappy with that little of a gain.

Weight should be falling off again in a day or two and I'd like to break under 205 by this weekend.

Back to shakes 100% and this will be my last week of shakes only.

Going to start adding in one solid meal per day of healthy protein and veggies and the like per day starting next week.

Just need to grind this week out as planned.

I just dropped like 150 bucks on 10 pounds of whey and 8 pounds of casein from the bb.com store.

Had some of both already so I ended up having enough to run about 6 weeks give or take from that.

I just adjust how much of each I use if I find I'm getting ahead of one type more than the other to keep them about even.

EC at this point doesn't really suppress my appetite, just gives me some energy and keeps me focused to do other things so I don't dwell on food or my next shake.

I actually sleep quite well outside of the heat. I add in about 100 grams of oats (20g carbs) in my shake before bed since I know that for me personally, zero carbs can make it hard for me to sleep.

Been doing that since day 1 and it seems to be working well enough so far.

Mood has been shifty, some days I feel great, other days I feel like I'm in hell. But overall, this cut has been less rough on me than PSMFs have been in the past.

Last time I did RFL, I basically shut myself off from the world cause I was such a moody ******* to be around during it.

Haven't really seen it follow pattern with any regularity this go around, but that probably about sums it up mostly.

I think the more fat I drop, the more I begin to feel the effects of this diet.

But that's widely known, the leaner you get, the more profoundly you feel the effects of strict dieting.

Now granted, I'm still 20%+ bodyfat so I'm not even close to lean yet, but it's still a big change from where I was at the start of this cut.

    I know how you feel.

At 186 lbs, RFL was a breeze. I had very few hunger issues at all.

At 167 lbs it's hell. A constant battle of hunger and a mental battle with cravings.

^ Agreed. I remember that getting from 275 to 250 was easier than from 250 to 240. I think 18% bodyfat is the general "cut-off" point, from there things get a bit hairy

    18 lbs in 24 days.....that's awesome progress

Surly you didn't think every day would be a drop....did you?

You are getting there....personally I think your body is taking a few days to "catch up"

Remember.....most "plain folks" are lucky to drop 2 lbs a week.....your body as done double that amount

Bro..chill. I remember exactly the same thing - you drop first 20 pounds. Around half of it is water. After that there is "transition period" where body starts retaining water and depleting fat cells.

For the next week - don't expect huge weight drop - but in reality your body is "catching up" by releasing fat and retaining all the held water.

When your weight doesn't move - thats a good thing. You are burning fat at maximum now.

I hate saying it, on this diet, I expect almost daily drops while doing this. It's just the way my body responds when doing it.

Now granted, I haven't been perfect this week and my refeed was a little excessive last weekend, but to have stalled for a week is unacceptable to me while on this diet.

I hope you're right, well we see today where I'm at.

If it's still the same, I really will fast all weekend. Just the way I do things.

    Thanks for checking in.

My weight has been 210-211 since last Friday. Now granted I did overdo my refeed on the weekend, but my body quickly drops water. It's rare when it holds onto it for this long post refeed.

Mostly a mental game for me, but on this strict of a diet, I do expect almost daily changes for how strict I'm currently being right now.

Going to absolutely murder myself with training and diet starting August 1 until my birthday on the 27.

I will be 180 pounds on my birthday. I don't care what I have to do to get there.

I wish, lol. That would certainly be the incentive.

Personal goal I set for myself at the beginning of the year.

Was on point earlier in the year and really pissed myself off letting myself go again.

Bad weekend, oh well. Is what it is.

Halfway through this wretched diet, made incredible progress, going to make even better progress the last four weeks.

Phase 2 of both this diet and my workout routine begins tomorrow.

Both are getting more serious and more intense than before.

You ain't gonna recognize me in four weeks.

Normal, can you post another log immediately after this one ends? You can be cutting, maintaining or lean bulking. Doesn't matter. I think you should log in losing fat no matter what mode you're in based on your history. Public accountability works really well for you and you lose your way whenever you take a break from logging. Maybe you take a break from counting cals when you end your cuts, idk, but if you're posting out here no matter what, at least others might be able to see that you're faltering and push you to get back on track.

Hi Caprica, I do let things get the better of me from time to time and I don't do well with disruptions when I'm focused on a goal and a program.

I try to hold myself accountable and stay active on these forums as much as I can, it just seems that when I start slipping, not checking in on here seems to be one of the first things to go for me.

It's a problem I need to work on, I know this.

    Thanks for checking in.

    Day 28: -
    Day 29: 209.0 (Week 5)

Not too bad given the damage from this weekend. Was expecting it to be a lot worse to be honest. I can live with this despite everything.

Starting off this week with a nice 36 hour fast to clear and reset myself both mentally and physically.

Currently at the 22 hour marker and feeling real good today.

Will have my first shake again after work tomorrow and before I go to the gym tomorrow to smash legs. Gonna need my energy for that.

On the home stretch of this diet now. Can't wait to see what I can do in these four weeks.

    Going all out.
