How the French must feel.
Overpowered by Germans and Belgians, taken for a ride by Mohammed, Ahmed and his African allies, attacked internally by Muslim lunatics, French men cucked beyond belief, French women sleeping with invaders or getting raped and to top it all off...the roast beefs are sailing away to freedom!

FTSE 250 (actual UK companies, not like the blue chip which trades around the world) closes -7%
GBPEUR currently -7%
S&P currently reviewing UK's AAA credit rating
Brexit voter surprised his vote counts, states buyer's remorse and says he's "worried":
Cornwall, a region that received millions in funding from EU membership, now asking for UK taxpayers' money as "protection" for loss of that funding: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...-a7101311.html
Cornwall, which has a poor economy and as such has received millions of pounds in subsidies from the EU each year for over a decade, voted decisively to Leave.
But this money is now threatened following the severing of ties with the EU.
John Pollard, the leader of Cornwall council said: Now that we know the UK will be leaving the EU we will be taking urgent steps to ensure that the UK Government protects Cornwalls position in any negotiations.
We will be insisting that Cornwall receives investment equal to that provided by the EU programme which has averaged 60m per year over the last ten years.
Cliffs:
-Idiots voted for leave, and now they'll suffer the consequences

I work in Banking and the AAA credit rating is definitely a goner already, its a downward adjustment since Moodys and Fitch are already there and S&P kept it only at AAA because polls leading to the vote showed that REMAIN vote was up.
We had trouble reaching Govn officials today since they were flooded with requests of UK financial companies re-allocating to Germany. Guess Germany must deal with the ~20,000 investment banker immigrants it will receive (some may go to Paris though). Fintechs will re-settle to Berlin as the startup hub in the EU.
As for Cornwall: lol @ voting for LEAVE with 56-57% just to become a charity case in your own country.

Here's the situation.
The majority of the gov didn't want to leave.
The majority of sensible people didn't want to leave.
Half of the people who voted leave now realise they didn't really want to leave, they were just making a protest vote, they didn't think they'd actually get what they voted for.
So now the government who didn't want to leave is going to act on the "will" of people who didn't really want to leave either, so we're going to have to leave even though we don't want to, and the rest of the EU doesn't want us to. Who are we doing it for?
We can't say "We didn't really mean it, let's stay together." That would make us look silly.
So instead we're going to fukk up the EU, our own country, and possibly trigger another global recession, just to save face.
It's like a crappy romantic comedy, except it's not going to end with the UK driving to the airport at the last minute and shouting "I still love you!" across the departure lounge and it all ends happily ever after.GO LOCAL SPORTSBALL TEAM

It's an approximation. Does it matter? The vote's done now. Maybe it's just 10%, but even if it is, that's enough to swing the vote to remain. The (small) majority of voters voted leave. Of that majority, a significant proportion did not expect their vote to matter, so voted leave as a symbolic F-YOU to David Cameron and his ilk, rather than as an expression of their desire to leave the EU. It's true. It seemed a foregone conclusion that there was going to be a clear remain vote, so some people voted leave for teh lulz. And now they're getting what they voted for, not what they actually wanted. It's a crying shame, because they're responsible for dragging the remain voters out of the EU against their will, while simultaneoulsy not getting what they wanted.
It's truly pathetic.

Nice pretzel logic to laughably attempt to disqualify this vote. Hey, I know! Maybe you can make only CERTAIN people vote, like, you know . . the "sensible" people. I bet you'd like that, wouldn't you! Get rid of all that pesky, "dissension" that gets in the way of the future you decided for everyone else.
What do those non-sensible people know!?

And you don't think it works the same way but for remain? i'm willing to bet a lot of the remain vote was lefties just voting because they associate leave with right wing politics and they'd rather be dead than be a right wing, xenophobic fascist misogynist racist hence why most of the remain vote was 18-24 year olds, most likely uni students who have had a couple years of left wing brainwashing

Some voted to leave for the lulz. And some voted to remain because they came a long way from immigrantistan and they dont want to risk that british teet. And some are old pensioners that are worried about upsetting the gravy train.
I've got some bad news for you champ. The idea of rational voters is a myth. If you were to ask everyone to explain their vote 90% of the answers you'd get would be completely retarded or incredibly selfish. And either way the wind blows, all dissenters get drug along.
So we need to just keep telling ourselves that democracy is a wonderful thing because in reality its pretty ****ty.Last edited by Stizzel; 06-24-2016 at 01:56 PM.
